RE: upside from here14 Mar 2022 11:47
i'm keeping it on my watch list but overall i get fustrated with the management charges even if over all they arent that high when i can invest direct. also whilst they claim a divi payment the reality is that isnt the case, there are no payments as yet and so i decided to sell and buy seperately, kinda gives different risk but i also now have several divi paying stocks.
just boughts some CEY this morning and have now completed my buying. CEY, SHG, abx, au and wpm. obvioulsy at different levels of production however all are, very little debt and everyone paying a divi of some sort. its about 17% of portfolio down from around 35 % which i had in the fund. rest is cash. i think there could be buyout, takeovers soon too which no doubt barrick might not be far away from or wheaton.
in the world of asset classes, bonds are done and where never seperate to equities. equities may go higher short term but i see big sell off which will include miners but their recovery will be better. i'm into some miners, copper mainly and urainium alongisde gold and some gas USA. i'll then wait for the downturn and pick up some staples!!
