Good points and agree. Gates foundation is really supporting and going for it. Maybe they want to cover off as you say all the cases that are coming or are there in third world countries already of which you are correct no one could ever be expected to pay for. Positive overall is that it’s uk based and supported

It’s assumptions in every direction, we have no idea specifically what the plant will do and impact. Said it’s for corona detection tests so not antibody? Or is it POC test which everyone is working towards? The needed global capacity for those will be huge. To achieve full POC facility in several weeks, full ce standard etc will be good going

You could look at it like that or you could say due to the excess demand worldwide that will be needed and that Odx can’t meet full demand they are also building another plant? Manufacturing the corona antigen test has taken multiple site over Europe, no one local is making antibody at the moment so they will need at of capability. Overall this is positive, demonstrating what the potential is, the slice Odx get is the gamble

the government announcement in regards tests is purely based on whether you have the virus now hence you need to have symptoms before going.

it sounds like odx is getting better and better ties with mologic which will continue to improve going forward. mologic i dont think have manufacturing sites, they are research and development, they then take something and turn it into an actual test like the work odx have done with burnet. hence the comment colin ceo mentioned i have capacity with elisa test manufacturing and its now been taken up. could be some really great potential here

either today or early next week we will have confirmation of the test being approved by PHE and it will then auto join the drive in centre tests which are now in place. i dont think this is a 7 am rns, its an anytime update by wed next week at the latest. there is then the POC test freeze.

I didn’t think there was a home test for corona virus when you have it nor the antibody test at the moment . Everything is lab based currently, I think they’ll announce antibody tests available at drive in sessions very soon followed by home tests. The positive change now is once the lab test is approved they will have direct access to multiple drive in sites around the country. That announcement anytime

Odx said they would start immediate manufacturing so they are already in production in the basis formal sign off is pretty straight forward due to the group that have already validated. Just a question of when phe agree, sign off and buyb

Couple of weeks for a design freeze on POC test so a quiet week I’m afraid with the potential certainly not going away and rising further. The money to support the vaccines and tests is coming forward as the exit strategy no one has seen date get ever closer

Reported 11 cases, 4 imported, the rest in house. For a country that has lockdowns to I would suggest masters level for all sorts of wrong reasons they can’t stop it. It will require data, immunity, vaccines, herd immunity ideally overtime which is controlled to support people’s health. I think some are thinking it’s finished and simply open up, I fear they might not realised how locked down these countries still are and cases pop up. All types of testing on a mass scale if you want to stop it quickly. As for the daily 15,000 coming in that will have to change.

I just think the uk government will throw everything at this after the performance of the last two months. Germany on the other hand might not bother, if a second wave comes they will.

Just imagine though, you only need one person with the virus when a prison unlocks and as they can’t social distance within a week everyone will have it.
