Odx may put something together here that is used for years to come, supports and helps understanding to aid treatments just like cd4?

The second wave when it comes will also cripple the country if not many could die as people won't lockdown the same, government will have to manage differently hence the test and trace, locsl nhs, extra beds, extra ppe. They are preparing for the next phase, testing has to be spot on, the economy won't be stopped it will be done through better management with one aspect being antibody tests.

Newton spoke about a testing regime for the future not just copying what has already been done. Bear in mind far cheaper than the alternative of lockdown and second wave has to be the preperation including antibody tests, but understandably not mentioned too much to the public as yet. Antibody tests as the data improves will help individuals and nhs understand the overall risk in areas. Ie your a teacher, worried about going back to work, complete the test, have antibodies therefore happier to return.

The ship is far from sailed, the challenge is making a POC that works, no change.

A POC with correct accuracy and sensitivity trumps everything. Government will probably buy for about £5, retail sold around £10 and other costs highly reduced. Unfortunately they might not find a cure for sometime, it took decades to create cd4 which supports understanding of HIV.

The POC isn’t priced in at all, bit of a rise again based on potential but a confirmed, approved, validated POC would be worth lots both for uk and global use.

The potential also that a POC has been produced that good for this virus has huge benefit longer term in corona virus terms.

Health professionals, retail customers will use a POC especially in less developed countries, similar price to cd4 currently being sold abroad? Margin still there.

The POC is extremely hard to create in these time lines but the potential is then so huge, in the testing of antibodies there will then be nothing left that can beat it. The market will be taken, you can’t get cheaper nor quicker in testing and 10 million Roche tests may only get used as and when needed for surveys etc to validate, second set Ramsey lots of POC.

The risk is no validated POC because it’s so hard to create, cd4 took years but is now extremely accurate and will not get beaten in its field. The test is administered, the persons results up loaded onto data base and medicine prescribed.

Design freeze, highly accurate POC is not very easy to make, the longer they wait the more antibody data they have supporting its creation
