I would not believe any whispers about takeovers etc. Takeovers come when you least expect it. Don't buy stock based on speculation.
before I top up I'll most likely wait till the end of year
"If it wasn’t for the government taking a golden share then Rolls Royce would have gone bust years ago. Although that would have saved a lot of people a lot of money."
Well, as per the link here https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/type-shareholders-rolls-royce-holdings-085054731.html
the government has 0.08% of shares so it's negligible. What I would rather be concerned about though is that institutional investors hold nearly 80% (77.5%), and it isn't a very good thing, because if those big guys decide to jump the ship (even a few of them) then the fall will be quite significant..
the solution is to hand out an equal amount of money to everyone so they don't have to work and no one is jealous
is it the bottom for this stock or is there a chance it goes lower?
RRInvestor's name is Steve not Mike, if you don't believe me ask him
I miss the times when Mike would say there is no way the price would drop below 85p.. Now you could say there is no way it reaches 85p lol. What a roller coaster
debt in itself is not a bad thing, but it becomes more and more of a burden with interest rate hikes
earnings earnings earnings
we are going to the moon
isn't uncrossing trade a closing trade matching a number of investors and sellers? I don't think this was a single big buy i.e. not a single person/institution
are we going to the moon today?
looks like tomorrow might be a good day though, a lot more buys than sells
I thought we were going to the moon
mannnan the debt is only £5.1bn
I would like to have Mike back, whenever he was posting the price was going up. He was a beacon of light.
the only way ITP makes difference to me is if I received it personally
retirment why not look at winter prices? Are you expecting poor performance?
MC I may have exaggerated, but I think a decent rise as a contraction to today's end of session panic. I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow we are close to 82/83p by COB. My nickname speaks for itself though, so please do not take it as a financial advise :-)
I suspect a massive SP rise tomorrow
