don't have a problem with you posting it but the ****sure attitude needs a bit of a dressing down and i'm in a bad mood anyway. technical indicators, such as support and resistance levels, chart patterns, or moving averages, are open to interpretation. different analysts will see different patterns in the same chart, leading to confirmation bias - where you are interpreting information in a way that confirms your beliefs. this subjectivity makes what you say by and large *******s. have a nice day.

funny how when i first mentioned consolidation on here i was ridiculed. it is a fear of mine because to coin a keynes phrase (probably incorrectly) 'animal instincts' play a part and a 200% rise from 61p is psychologically different to a 200% rise in a penny share, i.e. you lose an entire market of perspective buyers who are lashing around money on sub 10p shares. i wouldn't be ****d if my average was lower. it is what it is though.

They don't have to say what their holding is if they fall below 5%.

Ergo the TR1 would show 0% as they can't just pluck a random figure out of the air between 0 and 4.9999%

UBS aren't necessarily down to zero. They are below the reporting threshold so it shows as zero but you have no idea what they have, could have 4.95% for all we know.

I know lads who took part in the placing through their brokers and have sold completely, it was a no brainer for them. I kept repeating this on here before 1st October and shot down. One lad I know got a call in the morning, a 2 hour presentation and then requested xyz and got about 40% I think he said, no love for the company but did say that the broker presented it as a long term positive deal but for him it's a quick way of making money with limited risk.

A takeover doesn’t make sense.

The company were that low in price they could have made a premium offer and taken it. Now they’ll have to make a minimum premium based on current highs which would be daft. If they had approached the company and been told no turning it into an hostile takeover then we would have been notified. Also, if it’s someone with such deep pockets then why aren’t they buying on the dark pool and minimising share price rise. I think this is more based on something happening with the company than a takeover. Either way well done to anyone buying in at the lows. 700% rise in 3m is nuts

Loggy your post is spot on to how any rational person is thinking about it. Of course you have the usual typed saying it’s going to stay up, the same types that have been saying it every time it’s taken a hit, the rose tinted specs are strong in those. Then you have the full on naysers that are saying without a doubt it’s going to drop because of the sheer volume of shares but they don’t even remotely take into account perceived value of the acquisition. But the reality is most normal folk will be doing their best to see it from both angles plus anyone that doesn’t have rose tinted specs and confirmation bias will also be factoring in what has generally happened in the past as history often repeats itself .

One thing I will point out is the new shares are not predominantly in the hands of long term holders at all. People who were offered shares in the broker off who have zero attachment to the share and have deeper pockets than most of us picked up shares and not everyone of those will hold as a lad I know who got a substantial amount was weighing up selling immediately as if he does he takes a nice profit for pretty free. He has no care how the share performs, knows very little about us and only took it because of the broker call recommendation.

4.8 to 6.5/7 is a tidy profit on a few hundred £ for parting with your money for less than a month.

I’m hoping it drops hard and then over the next few months has a steady recovery.

I'm stressing about the volatility because I'm relying on it to get my purchase. This will be one time it does the unexpected knowing my luck! Alas, at least either way I'll be closer to my average either through it rising or by lowering, but my money is locked and loaded for the 1st and the following days.

Why would they be peeved Ben, they made 10%. Money in the bank for them, not everyone is emotionally invested.

I am still waiting for it to drop back into the 5s when the new shares are issued, I'll wait patiently, expect volatility, if it doesn't then that's fine too as while I didn't get the chance to average down if it doesn't go down and goes up then that means I'm closer to my average without spending any money. Win win.

I hope it continues to rise and you all do well but I’ve just broke even after roughly two years and I don’t have the same level of belief so I’m happy to just get my money back and leave in the morning providing it doesn’t go down. Genuinely didn’t expect to get my money back so I’ll see this as a result and lesson
