I'm questioning this 65%. We don't know and he's not saying.

"He quoted the 65/35% so I assume he has already calculated his support". Yeah, but with his golden share we just don't know, so he can say what he likes , we've no way of checking.

That list of shareholders, as I see it, they are not Moulding's mates with undying loyalty to him. Many if not most of them are independent-minded profit-maximisers.

He needs to do an MBO quite smartly after the expiry of the golden share or else he may lose his beloved company.

I'm thinking the other 65% isn't really in the bag for Moulding either. Look at Cantona's list below. No way is that lot staying onside with Moulding once the golden share expires.

Thank you Cantona, so the 65% assumes all those shareholders listed are voting with Moulding? Interesting. Very interesting! It's quite a disparate group, I can't imagine that discipline will last...

Their very brief 'in line' statement yesterday seems to have displeased the markets... hmmm...

I'll get the ball rolling. I'm assuming the QIA, & the THG Employee Benefit Trust vote with him. That's about 26.5%.

Then, Brian George Kennedy and William Mark Evans. I'm assuming they're Moulding's mates. Takes us up to circa 32%.

Sofia and Balderton are PE outfits not controlled by Moulding.

I'm miles off 65%. Where am I going wrong?

Agreed. They're acting like some big shot activist shareholders but they own less than 1%

Hopefully the loss of the golden share will mean we PIs finally get to see and judge these offers for ourselves.

Ok, I get that, you were helping ryanf out with his answer to manifesto, by giving a fuller quote. So, not 'busted' but i still say that if you're quoting something 2 years old it's good practise to say so. Otherwise people will misunderstand. Or be misled.

You don't have to make an implication or commentary Mattyboy. The quote was 2 years old. If you don't date it, people will think it's current.

Respectfully, I disagree. Without putting a date on it, you imply that recent share price weakness is due to Numis' erroneous bearish note. But that story is 2 years old. Anyway, I'll assume that not dating the quotation was an innocent omission.

What the last few months have shown is holidays and travel are NOT the 1st thing to go in a cost of living crisis - they are some of the last things people sacrifice.

Inflation, including food inflation, is set to fall quickly over the next 6-9 months. And it looks like the energy price cap won't be needed by the autumn, so fast have gas prices fallen.

What's more, employment is strong and many people (not all) have been getting decent wage increases. Even those on govt support have seen their benefits uprated by the RPI.

Yes the mortgage rate has risen, but not a problem for the many on fixed deals who won't need to refinance until 2024/2025.

Finally, it looks like the UK will avoid a recession (B of E uprated UK growth forecasts yesterday).

It ain't all doom & gloom!

Share price consistently declining these last few days - I reckon one of the larger shareholders are selling.

Performance of CMCL in 2023 well below a typical gold miners ETF. Disappointed.
