Hmm, it wasn't just a pullback - the party is well and truly over, and we're on the street looking for a taxi and rapidly sobering up!

I doubt the (potential) offer was an invention - there's no smoke without fire - but if management made the most of the possibilities in order to get the fundraise away, good. As others have said, it was becoming pretty clear as the weeks passed by that a sale was less and less likely.

The unpleasant realisation, for us LTHs, is nobody wants us even for sub £20m. Why? Simply, lack of (meaningful) sales. Cash balance of $4.7m as at 30 June 2024 won't last long.

Well, you shouldn't completely trust Masjid. He's a dealmaker, not an oil production guy, and he's been itching to do one. It is a poor offer for those long-term shareholders who supported the company but he doesn't care. Now we discover that I3E had been derated from 'growth' over the past year because the company, since mid-2023, had been under-investing in their Canadian assets. First I knew. Good old Masjid! And do I want 15% of a "Columbia focussed producer"? I do not!

And now we have the sudden, unexplained resignation of the CFO. Market hating it, obvs. Blimey, going from bad to worse here. If ever there was a company in need of a good news RNS, it's this one.

I do hope so oogleflugal, as it's been a long and not altogether profitable journey for some of us.

Sorry if it's old news but I see that the pied piper himself, Mr C.Mills (with son in tow), updated the market 3 weeks ago on his latest views on RENX/VRCI. Says, in relation to RENX, "I can't believe, the company's achieved so much and yet the share price is pathetic..." but then, by way of explanation I suppose "...it needs funding from time to time." No joy there then.

Batty, that's just a list of the uses of lithium . What's your point? My point was simply that the investment thesis hasn't been going terribly well, either in relation to ALL or lithium in general. Perhaps you're uninvested or haven't noticed?

Seems I needed to re-learn the lesson of catching falling knives. Good old Burberry is giving me a refresher course....

No hate mail from me. Very fair to mention the general lithium issue. This sits on top of the specific risks around a company exploiting a not yet operating mine situated in west Africa. Take up of EV has slowed which is reflected in the low price of lithium. I also keep reading that govts are rowing back on their green aims. Then there's stuff about breakthroughs in solid state battery technology... I'm not clever enough to know how all this will play out, but certainly these things are additional risks applying to all lithium miners.

Position size appropriately to reflect the risks and ride it out would be my current view.

Company has a good asset and is doing all the right things to exploit it in an efficient and responsible way. And yet I'm getting that sinking feeling that I'm not going to make any money here. Tough, this investing business.

Divi 14 cents, not pence. No mention as to the quantum of future divis, only that they will align declaration with publication of quarterly results... so a 6 week delay in the declaration of the next divi from early Oct to mid-Nov.

Otherwise, yes, good results. Just disappointing that the market can't summon up any enthusiasm this morning.

Most of my shares have substantially recovered from last week's malaise. Not Boohoo. Share price appears to have dropped another almost 25% since 25/07/24, pretty much to all-time lows, and there it stays...

Can't say I'm surprised or even disappointed anymore. I almost expect it. Prospects for share price recovery look dim too. There must be loads of stale bulls out there who, like me, are desperate to bail out of this P.O.S.... That will seriously limit any upside I reckon.

Yes, and mine. No pretence on being a macro expert, but surely recent currency volatility/unwinding of the yen carry trade is Argentex's bread and butter....
