towards the bottom of the trading range for gold in pounds over the last year. Until this trend is reversed I think there is a bit of a lid on the CEY price.

I have revised my buy price down to the 100 - 110 range at present.

Alongside that liquidiation, you have to note the copper stocks remain high (although they have reduced a little recently) and uncertainties about the trade war continue to unsettle the market.

My buy price remains about 750

When the RNS didn't come with the AGM, my next date for it was mid July, so I am hoping for something next week. Along with others on this board, I believe that they won't issue the RNS until the positiont is clearer this time.

China can't sell off its mountain of US treasuries quickly without substantially affecting both the price of the US treasuries and the value of the dollar. They have too big a share of the market to be able to profit from it in this way. China's best bet is to offload them slowly while the price and the dollar are good, over a substantial period of time.

Of course they could go for financial armageddon as part of the trade war, but only at very substantial cost to themslves

towards the top end of the range over the last 5 years. The copper price has fallen, but since it is denominated in dollars, this is partly offset by the relatively high current level of the dollar index. Kaz has fallen quite a bit, but may fall a little further in my view.

I am currently out of KAZ

and then another end of July and further one mid August. It would be very surprising if one of them didn't shift the sp up substantially. I am sticking with my view that we should be in the 15-20 range in September, and up towards 30p by the end of the year.

But unfortunately I'm not ready to buy. Hold in there guys.

Tucson, its not a mining share, but I think CASP might be a good bet over over the next few months. It has been notorious for not delivering over the last few years, but there are signs of progress, plus they get international prices for 80% of output from July. CEY, I feel is near the bottom of its slide and Sirius may be getting to the point where investors start to believe in its progress towards production. A year ago Sirius was still shooting up after moving off AIM, before falling back again.

from someone who had spoken to someone who had been at the AGM, that test results from 801 were expected in 2 weeks, A5 in a month and A6 in 6 weeks. Seems a little bit more than hearsay and rumour, but of course CASP have to actually deliver!

now at 9.75 with trading levels below £20k a day, and often very much lower than that. Most people are holding and waiting for the news. New investors are also thin on the gound or there would have been upward pressure by now. I am sure they are out there, waiting for positive news before deciding to jump in. If you are reading this board and thinking of investing, take a look at how fast CASP went up in the spring, last time there was a rumour of progress. Don't miss the boat! Unfortunately there is no sailing schedule.

Sorry to see you go Sotolo. Don't stay away too long. Its all about balance on this board, and as you know I share your view that the price of gold is as likely to go down as up, and that El Dorado is not just round the corner. Nevertheless, my feeling is that CEY are at or near the bottom, and although I don't think they are about to bounce up, holding is probably the best strategy for the long term. I am still not back in. I will let you know when I am.

OK then, having looked at Richyp's very upbeat report of the meeting in today's post, I take back my slightly guarded comments from earlier in the day. I still think we may need a little patience, and maybe a setback or two along the way.

Beynon, I agree that an RNS with significant news is unlikely this month, but I think it probable that there will be some good news in the next three months. FK, your enthusiasm is much needed to offset the negative opinions of some posters here, but I think you may be in danger of overstating your case which is just as likely to put people off. Clearly they have the motivation to get on with the MJF structure from the beginning of next month and have a plan to do this. RNSs will be forthcoming on the success or otherwise of this strategy with consequences for the share price. I would expect an RNS on MJF during the course of July, or in August at the very latest. I believe they are making progress with the deeps but it may be slow. If just one of them comes good this summer /autumn, I believe there will be a substantial lift for the share price, but patience is needed. An RNS cataloging further difficulties with deep drilling is entirely likely before success occurs. I am looking for a price in the 10p-15p range by the end of August, and hope to be in the 20-30p range by the end of the year. A 10 bagger is not impossible but is at the very top of the probability curve

Hi Asteris, you can find out about the court case by going to the centamin company's own website where there is full information about it. The court case is about the extent of centamin's claim in sq kms and dates back 6 years or so. The Egyptian legal system is very slow, but in this case the process has been held up by the development of an international investment law which stopped the court case but itself is now mired in procedural challenges and controversies. All this stops most institutional investors from being able to buy and probably holds the sp back considerably. Most LTH believe the court case to be largely irrelevant now, but it is probably worth getting yourself up to speed with all this if you intend to invest much here,
