Crikey Corlis, you are the guru when it comes to AAL...I never thought we'd be nudging £8 two weeks post Brexit. So I am pleased I came back in yesterday at the £7.22 low. Been selling and buying this share for two months now. Who knows what the future holds for world stage miners.

The market obviously thinks that a new deal to remain is going to be done...imho it isn't...notwithstanding that conclusion, fantastic day on planet AAL...well done to those of us who are still in.

Upward trajectory of world class stock, AAL is restored, good predictions Corlis.

Ah at last, I've answered my question via a reliable financial data website, Yahoo Finance, showing AAL down 4.42% at close of play today on the Footsie.

What the heck is going on with the LSE website? They show the share price as a none mover all day then mark it up 34p again this evening, same as Friday...bonkers out there presently.

Down 4.7% as I type....that's just like a normal day for AAL....!

Strap yourselves in....looks like Leave is pulling away....at least AAL is a world mining stock not reliant on UK only consumption of it's products so it will bounce back after the mayhem...

Good points, well made Corlis, Isn't the stock market now just run by machines reacting to complex algorithm data input? I don't know. This is a fascinating scenario, share price rising on the day of a referendum...they say the market is always ahead of the news...

£8 million sale just went through a minute before close, that dropped today's increase somewhat...I wonder...what do they know...? keep your powder dry...

Be lucky everone. This referendum vote is on a knife edge and that's reflected in the fact that currently there are as many sells as buys in AAL. Whatever the outcome the stock market always bounces back and AAL is getting it's house in order which is only good news, long term.

I'm back in...big chunk at 602 my life was so boring without the brown underpants roller coaster ride that is AAL...

Well done Corlis, some measured optimism. Is this current financial 'perfect storm' a contrarians's xanadu? Perhaps...I remember when it was possible to make a living on the stock market as an armchair investor with some luck and an iron will in place could those days ever return? No, forget the mania of 1997, this is the 'new normal' I'm afraid. Stick you money in the best savings account you can find or hide it under the mattress.
