Excellence should be rewarded and applauded but in the past there has been a culture of rewarding abject failure and under achievement which has been a bitter pill for LTH to swallow. Never sits well when shareholders are distressed and witness directors in any company feather their own nests with salary increases and share incentives. Hopefully those days are behind us.
Obviously the BOD can see over the horizon, where we cannot. It would be reassuring to see some large director buys and to have maybe seen some money committed to a share buy back when the price was lower considering many were worried about a RI not too long ago.
This equates to a very small dilution that will be drip fed to employees as share award/incentives over a prolonged period. Probably duty bound to disclose. My only grievance is why reward staff when the job is half done and at such a low price, we're not out of the woods yet.
With some of the super majors openly committing to winding down their exploration activities I can envisage a vacume developing and the onus of exploration falling into the laps of the mid cap companies. Exploration isn't cheap and dusters are costly so we can expect to see some unexpected partnerships/farm ins to subsidise these activities. One thing is certain, demand for oil will be strong for decades to come and we could be perfectly placed to take advantage.
Definately not factored in yet. When we discovered oil on orinduick the SP and our partners reacted accordingly. When heavey uncommercial oil was disclosed later on the SP tanked.
The cos percentages are usually within conservative parameters However I would speculate that given the precarious situation we were in the choice of drill based on available seismic data will have been mulled over at length to ensure our best chance of success.
Does anyone have any insight into drilling timeframe. I've read preliminary drilling results are expected within 70 days. Would this include analysis of oil quality or is it just notice of success/failure.

I bet Les's finger is frobbing as I suspect he will have sustained a repetitive stress injury repeatedly recalculating his figures for the March 10th presentation. His guidance projections must be shifting by the minute. Maybe he'll just summarize by declaring 90p at 3pm.
The level of incompetence in not realising demand for a critical commodity would recover especially once a vaccine was developed is mind boggling. There have been many oportunities to get out but greed really does cloud common sense. Reap what you sow.
To think on March 20th last year we hit 7.17p. Just demonstrates how close the dark forces with no moral compass came to taking out a viable company with world class assets and ruining the life's of many honest hard working private investors during unprecedented circumstances. This company should be held up as a example to demonize the practice of shorting and bring about some regulation reforms for the good of trading and fair practice.
