Hi Razor, despite the SOEs in SA being obliged to follow the correct processes when putting out tenders, for 10 years Zuma placed his cronies at all levels within those enterprises so that they would sidestep due process and award contracts to certain chosen companies, often owned by the Guptas, but always for corrupt purposes, eg large brown envelopes.

Under Cyril, those same SOEs have gone though a partial cleansing process this year, so now people dare not do anything other than follow the rules for tendering which inevitably includes more than just one potential supplier, as it should.

Daisan, you're right about the speed of the rise which occurred as soon as our large seller finished (FI?), and I think it would be reasonable to say that at least some of this rise must surely be down to the publicity drive currently being conducted Alfa and his team of volunteers.

It was a great idea to mobilise the troops to spread the Bushveld gospel and it seems to be working, as Alfa has noted the rapid increase in TBP hits from around the world, plus the increased activity on Twitter.

Next up is to get one or more of the large financial reporters interested enough to start publishing articles about BMN and BE, and the wonderful story of vanadium and VRFBs.

Fekir the political risks in SA were high for the last 10 years under Zumas broken and corrupt regime but since he was ousted earlier this year they have reduced considerably and, as time goes by and Cyril becomes stronger as President, they are continuing to improve. There’s still a long way to go but he’s created a sea change in SA after Zuma almost ruined the country and the place is a far safer place to invest now than it used to be. There’s still a couple of major issues eg land expropriation without compensation and the fact that his cabinet and the top 6 still contain Zuma supporters but for me the potential gains with BMN far outweigh the risks

Very good point fb, and for any newbies who are reading this - never EVER set stop losses cos the MMs can see them and will drop the price rapidly in order to trigger them and suddenly... your shares are gone.

Thanks Rob, and that's because we really are only just starting out. We're at the forefront of what has been described as the Fourth Industrial Revolution and, if we do things right, (and so far it looks like we are), we could have almost unlimited opportunities ahead of us in the BESS space.

We have some very exciting times ahead of us in my humble opinion, and I look forward to watching how it all pans out.

It's quite a technical report, however here's a pretty powerful extract which encapsulates what is happening:

"In February the US’ main regulator the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), issued FERC Order 841, instructing the US’ six regional electricity transmission organisations to reconfigure their wholesale markets to allow energy storage to participate. The ISOs and RTOs have about a year to respond in full.

Order 841 would open up the markets for capacity, energy and ancillary services to even small or aggregated behind-the-meter energy storage resources. In March at our publisher Solar Media’s Energy Storage Summit in London, Energy-Storage.news heard from FERC branch chief Nancy Bowler that the move “really expands the place where storage can play in the US, pretty dramatically”.

Similarly, at Energy Storage International in California a few weeks back, Janice Lin of the California Energy Storage Alliance identified Order 841 as one of the biggest pro-energy storage shifts the US energy market is likely to see."

ESS and especially BESS are rapidly becoming essential parts of national, regional, and local electrical power systems around the world and their markets are expanding daily. What a great time and place for Bushveld Energy to be born into :-)

@nobbynewboy sorry mate, my prediction was meant to be a bit of fun and not to be taken seriously as it's not based on any particular premise or insight.

My own guess at the £1 date is actually 8th March 2019 (altho we can all hope and wish for sooner), and as far as peaking goes, I'm not sure that it will, at least not before 2025 when we hope to have built a rock-steady business which will be selling vanadium and VRFBs and leasing electrolyte.

There's a lot going on with this company and the best way to quickly catch up on the potential here would be to check out independent 'The Bushveld Perspective' (or TBP) which was created by and is now added to and maintained by several dedicated and talented posters on this BB (link below on post by kcfb)
