we may (I pray) get an offer tabled..... if they are genuinely seeking one or if one is inspired anyway by their lacklustre but required efforts.
What i am sure of is if no offer tabled they will have ticked all the boxes to safeguard themselves. LR needs to finally demonstrate he's working for shareholders and being sincere!
So what! You've spent your whole time making such statements and I'm sure we would (all) agree. That does mean it comes to pass and history and experience demonstrates that.
I'm sure we could get a better offer but not if LR isn't leading a serious attempt and throwing the kitchen sink at it and my growing assumption is he is quite content with Novacyt and his negotiated role. That means he must still table any higher offers but he controls all the aspects of the information flow and efforts employed.
No matter how attractive we are and Ranger makes us...we don't know if shareholder interests are really top priority or if we will simply hear it proved impossible to agree terms within specified deadline.
imv a higher offer is there to be agreed. I'm just not sure how much secret resistance and blocks or may encounter whilst LR tells us everything is looking good......Deja-vu
Davand...if we got a materially improved offer i would frankly be less minded to go after LR than if we didn't.
"...even if there was a higher offer it would be tabled to the shareholders?"
so what you mean Optimistic Guy is ".... it wouldn't be tabled"
to answer...of course it would be tabled but I suspect it's not really sought so proposition would be subtely downplayed and may even try to make it quietly unpalatable. Simply I conclude Lyn cannot be trusted.
There is an improved offer out there so long as we are keen to do it, but I suspect Lyn may be going through the motions or even secretly sour it rather than aggressively pursue and secure. Trust has been lost!
If no alternative bidder arrives we should ALL support Andrew Kennedy's deserved action.
Do you believe LR can be trusted to really push Ranger? I would love to know how hard they are working to secure another bidder rather than present Novacyt as the only game in town before LR moves on to his new role there.
RE: BEING SOLD ON THE CHEAP, EXTREMELY CHEAPLY!!?27 Jul 2023 17:36
I certainly think it's possible and should actually be probable so in theory over 50% chance but one thing I have learnt is their ability to ultimately disappoint is near alarming! currently I'm slightly optimistic we can secure a bid 10% higher in spite of our track record.
RE: BEING SOLD ON THE CHEAP, EXTREMELY CHEAPLY!!?26 Jul 2023 08:13
Indeed. Used to clamour for news. Now it's makes not the slightest difference. ONLY another bidder at least is of any value! Well done AR and clearly in tone deaf comments you could care less about shareholders
No news for so so long and now who cares! The ONLY thing I want to see is another bidder with an improved offer then another bidder and a bidding war.
I accept newsflow can't hurt that process but it's now only about an increased buyout price rather than what a good business Novacyt and their customers are getting.
What we have to hope for is a new buyer offering 10%+
Will we get it? Imv we are seeking it but outcome uncertain for 2 reasons. 1. Is there serious interest that can translate into a rival offer and 2. Are our useless BOD up to the task of seeking and/or securing an offer in time!!
