Another basis on which I felt at the time ODX would be getting orders.
Remember back in July, Colin King told us there were 3 countries in the short term that were just finishing certification and then, to quote him "we are led to believe there will be substantial orders"
I recall at the time calling out that an ABDX trading update a month or so later made no reference to imminent sales, or indeed countries close to final certification, in fact it basically said there was no new movement.
Today in the ABDX RNS
"However, to date, national testing strategies have not focused on antibody testing. Therefore, the Company has, for now, decided to rotate its focus away from block sales to health authorities toward end users of the AbC-19(TM) test and the BioSure COVID-19 antibody test for which Abingdon is the manufacturer. The AbC-19(TM) product will therefore remain available for sale, including via the Abingdon website, and the Company will be ready to scale-up its supply as and when national testing strategies focus on an individual's antibody levels as a proxy for immunity. "
Just like ODX, ABDX is effectively admitting defeat ,saying govs are not going to take the ABDX test, and now they are concentrating on end user. Given the RTC test is licensed from professional use only, whereas the biosure test (CTDA allowing) is licensed for home use, which one do you think will get whatever meagre sales are left.
Basically the RTC test is dead. Anyhow, is the 20% of orders arrangement still in place when ODX is a) getting out of covid and b) selling the factory where they made the few that were ordered ?
This was the uber-ramped test by reggie, who bigged up what he termed the "great unshackling day" of feb 17th 2021 when the RTC test could be sold to anyone.
What I want to know is back in July 2021, exactly what data or information ODX was using as a basis to be strongly suggestive in a formal RNS that substantial orders would happen in the short term. Or was it just made up ?
