Above is a link to national grid live. Fossil fuels are still providing around 50% electricity annually and we still import more from France Belgium Norway Netherlands than we export.
Let’s see, battery cars, busses, lorries, trains, ships, battery metals are in short supply now and as this worsens will get more expensive and carbon heavy to mine.
Batteries would only capable of of maintaining supply short term, hrs. Not days or weeks of calm weather. At the minute coal is stepping in.
Currently the date for phasing out fossil fuels is 2045, if we’re lucky.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying MAST is a solid investment. Where Kibo is involved it’s always going to be a bit of a gamble but if they get it right it could pay very well indeed.
