If this is in progress it may take some time...after the Whyte fiasco, the organs of government have not covered themselves in glory......BTW where is the evidence that Britdaq kicked any body of anything....naughty gossip from the uninvested maybe?
From Aidans blog.......'Furthermore, in their ex parte application to Court to take my personal information, they failed to disclose material evidence in their possession that would have been of interest to a Court in deciding to grant that intrusion. Furthermore, the declared reasons for needing it were clearly illogical at best. An urgent application will therefore be made to hold those failings to account in the next few days and I will provide a further update in that regard' from AE blog
This has always been my understanding. You need to get a certificate of all or part of your shares issued which you send to Britdaq. In the mean while become a gold member. Then you can sell or buy them. ......at the moment they are not trading on Britdaq so you need to take a view as to your course of action
On Thursday last I did my first share match sell for a modest amount of shares.....it was pretty much my FIRST opportunity...I went the II route and then ordered my certificate....apart from some minor delays due to learning and checking all the procedures and becoming a gold member....I expect many others are in the same position....circa 25p is not an unreasonable price to get some cash given that Worthington started around 5p...anyone else relate to that??
The Scottish daily record reported that the AE was raided in connection with the Pension Fund investigation that is even boring the jocks....another report even stated that Craig Whyte was raided so it looks like the Fishing Conduct Authority is the only organisation with the energy to keep this tired old hoop rolling along the road....nothing to do with Whetstone and given the gentlemanly warning that AE got I doubt whether there will be any startling revelations....back to normal next week I think
It's a shock that's now subsiding a tad...it had to be done to calm market nerves...however the share matching system has damped swings as volume just subsides.....on a proper market MMs would probably mark down heavily causing big price swings to create volume. As a lot of holders have free shares they will just sit on their hands....AE seems to be taking some kind of legal response to the FCAs possibly precipitous action so hopefully the drama will subside next week....a different set of dynamics in a share matching environment.
As Cicero said 'who benefits?'....certainly not me, a shareholder and owner of gifted shares....on the contrary using a currently fashionable phrase 'I feel violated'.....where are all the whistle-blowers when we really need them.....come on Julian Assange HELP!!
It's interesting to speculate whether if any damages do occur as a result of the FCA raid whether they might be linked to current damages being sought in other actions.....Also in AE's blog he alluded to the possibility that the possible damages currently being considered might be quantified by the success of WHET....conspiracy theorists might be forgiven for pondering the convenience of a devaluation in the price of the US and UK offshoots
Another waste of tax payers money perhaps..trying to save face from the Rangers failed prosecution? Makes you wonder about the system...at least they supposedly had the courtesy to phone ahead...I pity AE's wife and family....even TW agrees with that!
As a mere shareholder I value the reminders and summing up. As AE and Co have delivered so far I value their past statements as a pointer forward although timing is as ever flexible!!. However I am still mystified by Nige and his interest, (18,000 posts!! And rising) Personally, I don't know how or why he finds the time as no one wants to hear his observations but it takes all sorts.
With the benefit of hindsight it would have been better to get a share cerificate ordered from whetstone and use britdaq as the registrar probably.....I used to do software work for Link and all registrars are a bit staid and not prone to work fast....I too ordered my certificate on March 19...hope I get it this week.....any one knows what happens if I sell some now and hope for the best?
So far pretty well everything that the 'Lads' promised has happened for which I am grateful and do not share the moaner's view but do accept that they are entitled to it....have AE and co. stated that it's intended that WRN will return...anyone have any information on this?
