So despite TPN they still lost money and they still are loss making - maybe they will use their losses to pay down debt, that would be a global first for sure ! Am waiting for you answer on Tinkler's motives to sell last week, pretty key to the value question in my opinion

@Stocksbof52 - "He sold his free shares" ?! Why do you think they were free as opposed to him paying 6p for them and why do you think he sold if they would be worth 30-40p shortly ?

@Bladey - you ask where the research was ? Well if you look at the RNS from ESL last week it highlights the changes between when I invested and now - detail below. I thought based upon the facts then the business was profitable with debt of £120m turns out debt was higher, business was loss making and as a result they were going to run out of cash, hence the £70m injection and the fact that debt is now at £215, which considering they are still loss making is not good - but I know you don't like facts so will leave it at that

Underlying EBIT2 for the period is a loss of £11.6m (2018 restated: profit of £0.6m) in line with the announcement made on 14 November 2019.

Adjusted loss3 before tax was £16.5m (2018 restated: loss of £1.9m) in the period and statutory loss before tax was £199.8m (2018 restated: loss of £15.1m).

Net debt at 31 May 2019 was £158.0m (2018: £115.6m). Net debt at 30 November 2019 was approximately £215m.

@Bladey - your assuming without knowing the facts - again ! I traded NMC and made some bucks and fortunately was not holding when they were suspended. My decision to buy ESL at 76p as you correctly point out was not me best decision lol

Hi Mark, Tinkler sold £20m worth of share in Stobart Group on 18/01/20 so the only reason I can see why he sold ESL last week was because he saw no further value, as opposed to needing the cash

@faze1 - I didn’t post after about 12:00 on Thursday on ESL - On Thursday I said the price would end at 8p as opposed to 30p and got banned for 24 hours for being disruptive. The share price ended Thursday just north of 8p. Today no one can say whether I am wrong or right but we can discuss again at 16:30 tomorrow

@spwany100 - crude oil just opened down 2.5% but just rallied to 1.4% down within minutes - let's see - agree that no-one knows !!!

@spurss777 - you bought in at 11p last Thursday and thought you got a good price so let's hope Monday works out better for you than Friday did

Actually I have been pretty busy weekend otherwise I would have lol - I have presented the facts and put some thoughts around them, not to instil fear but to create clarirty. Some posters are saying regardless of the facts sentiment will drive the share price north and I understand their logic. Other people are posting incorrect facts and assumptions based upon those incorrect facts which is not right.

From what I could see the top price was a flash spike for a minute to 17p ? I'm not trading all the time and don't think Andrew Tinkler could have disposed of his large holding on a spike.

DBAY only put in £55m liquidity via a PIK loan not £70m - the rest came from other lenders already exposed to ESL

Hi Knightrider, that is a fair point and ESL has a lot of attention, I don't think it will go above 15p for any period, but you are right logic does not always apply in the markets, but then again what goes up must come down eventually if the fundamentals or cash flow is not there. Your view and my view on where the price will go are different - we will see soon which one is right.

Hi Mark, you are correct that Andrew Tinkler and Stobart Group are not on talking terms any more. According to press reports he and William Stobart are.

Hi spurs777 - I don't believe my or any other factual posts can the move share price ! If it dropped to 4-5p I would be tempted to trade it like I said in my post, but not for the long term, so I am being open and transparent. I have total respect for those that bought above 20p and don't know why you think I don't - I bought in at 76p after seeing DBAY buying at 98p and 67.5p thinking they were going to bid and not realising the link between them and Greenwhitestar Topco

Hi Mark, he was forced to pay 50 % of Stobart Group's court costs in May 2019, 6 month before he bought the shares in ESL so don't think he was raising cash for that.

Hi spurs777 - yes agreed volatility and MMS can drive the share price, but not that far from the fundamentals over the long term, hence why so many AIM companies soar and crash
