Seems to me, people who make the most money are the ones who stock up when prices are cheap. Those folk, with not necessarily deep pockets, who filled their boots at EUA when it was 0.25p just a couple of years ago for example. If you wait till things are popular, and arrive with the herd it's too late. Sure it's speculative, but that's why we're here isn't it? Otherwise, invest in Amazon, Tesla, etc. - maybe?

I was trying to make it clear to folk that (unfortunately) you can't just offset your holdings in the red, against the ones in the blue - as it may have been interpreted as such. It's correct, if you have had the misfortune of having the rug pulled from under you, a la SSX e.g. and yes, you can take the sting out of CGT up to 4 years later.

I believe losses on one share(s) cannot be offset against gains on another. The tax payable is purely on the profit made on the purchase price less any costs and fees.

If a share evaporates to next to nothing you may be able to write it off as a loss independently.

ON the Beeb news last night, they commented "we will living with Covid 19 for good." Not just years. Vaccinations will be regular (1-2 years - not quite known yet) new vaccines will needed over time, and of course testing for existing and new variants will needed too.

Green Hydrogen is via the electrolysis of water. But there is Grey, Green, Blue, Black/Brown, Purple/Pink/Red, and White. Perhaps someone with a more scientific vent can elucidate?

First time in this situation so wasn't quite sure where the div payment would materialise but turned up as cash in my HL stocks and shares ISA account.

Looks like I can just re-invest the amount even though I had already used my full ISA allowance? Though I guess I have to pay income tax on the divi amount?

How much of the £15m divi payments do we think will get re-invested here - I know a good chunk of mine is going back in for starters!

n.b. By far the main use of molybdenum is as an alloy in steel - 86%. - most steel alloys contain some molybdenum.

(only used 14% as a lubricant in molybdenum sulphate form).
