Any divi's, or gains in ISA accounts are tax free regardless of where the divi is paid. The important bit about where a divi's is paid for shares held in an ISA account is that, if the divi is paid straight into your bank, you will only be able to reinvest that into your ISA if you don't exceed you annual subscription allowance of £20k.

If you have elected for any divi's to be 'held on account', (see Pompey's post for how) you can then decide to reinvest/withdraw any proportion of it you like. As long as it's still in your ISA you can reinvest in EAU or any other stock (or still decide to take the whole lot out) no matter how big the divi payment, all tax free.

Going back to the original post, and the prediction of 60-70p - that would require an adjusted net income of £2.14-2.5B (based on my dodgy maths, and, assuming the divi policy from yesterday applies to special divi's).

Is that right, and if so, do we that kind of figure likely, modest, or generous?

(I for one would be perfectly happy with that kind of divi, more would be amazing!).

Though, in the example above, if the divi was £2.50 (80%), wouldn't 100% of the net profit be £3.12, leaving an SP of 62p?

Anyone know what "2.5" means in the following sentence from section 4.5 of Divithe policy...

It's when you can't get an automatic quote - you have to contact a broker directly. Happens when it's busy amongst other reasons. Usually it just means you resubmitting the quote a couple of times - unless the stock is seriously crashing or booming - then, unfortunately, you've got your work cut out to get a quote before all of the big boys order have been filled.

Personally, I don't have a smart meter, but, only because it wouldn't fit when they attempted to change it. And yes, having a smart meter does not change your consumption of electricity - switching thing off when not in use does. The idea, is that it's more visible when you're wasting electricity (as long as you're interested in checking).

As a kid, I used to like looking at the spinning ring that pre-digital meters had and trying to get it to stop by switching everything off - of course, things like the central heating clock, cooker clock (that we weren't allowed to touch) being permanently on, meant it would never completely stop. Of course we didn't have iPads or even Gameboys to occupy us then.
