I should add, I've "only" lost somewhere in the region of £5k - £10k holding this share having had a very low average from feb 2020 but averaged up at the worst times. My actual loss in terms of selling in October 2020 for £55k before buying back in two weeks later (definitely my biggest ever investing mistake) means my loss actually looks more like £50k and this is why i struggle with what has happened since, especially when there was a chance to get out at over £4 just over a year ago.
Coming back late to the party but sending thanks to Wilson also for attending yesterday. Honestly was appalled at the lack of attendance, really shows how we are viewed as a company in my opinion. My past posts were always trying to be balanced but of course leant into bias toward the share having held so many for so long, but am now at wits end with this management team who have done nothing but destroy shareholder value.
Big Sam gets my vote, can't be any worse than what has come before.
Mullis was likely pushed, DA almost certainly was pushed (unless I hear otherwise I'm 100% certain of that).
Unfortunately for us now, the CEO role where previously would have been incredibly enticing for someone, is far less appealing now. But we do need to get our major trading update in Jan so am hoping for several updates around this time and maybe some more news on that front.
Can't take an article seriously that still mentions DA as CEO.
pi- Did you work for Novacyt in a previous life and are just looking to cause as much trouble as possible as a bitter ex employee?
don't know why i wrote job, i meant share price drop
anyone speculating on the job only need to look at the wider market, everything is down today it is nothing company specific.
P100 - In order for capital markets to work, the prevailing theory that markets are always efficient - that is, all information that could possibly affect a share price is already known and available to everyone at exactly the same time.
We all know however, that in reality that is simply not true. IIs pay people hundreds of thousands of pounds for this very reason, and I can guarantee you for a fact that there will be people sweeping over the share boards on a daily basis trying to find even the slightest tidbit of information that is not yet publicly known.
I have held this share since February 2020, making huge gains and then huge losses trying to trade at the back end of 2020 and start of 21. I choose not to post on here too frequently but I still monitor the board on a daily basis, and it is the same 2 or 3 names that constantly crop up to have a dig. If you really are a genuine shareholder, why not do something productive and contact the company rather than constantly bash it on here?
Prop5 if a sniff of dispute resolution only ended us back in the 300s i would be incredibly disappointed, I think the impact of it on the share price cannot be understated - I'd be looking at high 4s personally.
US market times make no difference to anything, the US residents can buy us when the UK market is open.
really had some doubts about the presentation but i think it's been really good.
what i'd expect from Q and As as a minmum:
- Explanation of their understanding of BIO buying up shares - whether there has been any correspondence between the businesses
- more info on DHSC as much as they can, they should be able to say some more on this now.
- TATA... absolutely essential to outline what this means.
It might not be the best, but at least there is now forward guidance of 100m ongoing revenue for fives years from now; would’ve been nicer if they said from 2022 onwards but at least the market has something now to base forward earnings on.
@BYP
You'd think some of these greedy gits would've learnt their lesson about wanting the share price to stay low.
Think it's time to write to my investment broker and make sure that my shares aren't being lent out to shorters. That's the sense I get from some of this.
DRB83 and HarChris
I suspect you are both probably right and that the answer is somewhere between, but there is still plenty of time today for another TR1 to come through.
Does it really cost the business that much to issue an RNS? I just don't see how "doesn't warrant an individual RNS" holds any weight whatsoever.
Bitterly disappointed now.
The level of advancement that Co Prep provides means it HAS to be RNS'd in my opinion. It's massive for this company's future prospects.
‘Thank you for your participation in the survey, which has been vital to tracking COVID-19. Thanks to you and thousands of others, the information we have analysed from your finger prick blood tests has greatly increased our understanding of COVID-19 antibodies, and how they affect our chances of getting COVID-19 again.
You will be used to getting your antibody results as “positive”, or “negative”. This is how the test was approved early in the pandemic before vaccines were developed and is very accurate at identifying people who have or have not had COVID-19.
In future, we will tell you whether your finger prick blood test is negative, positive, or positive at a higher level for antibodies.
You do not need to do anything differently in response to your antibody results. This is because antibodies are only one part of the way that our bodies fight infection. Other parts of our immune system, like T-cells, also help. Antibody levels can also change over time – this is a normal part of how our immune systems work.
Our bodies respond to infection and to vaccination in slightly different ways. Having had a COVID-19 infection before usually gives a stronger immune response than vaccination. To get a similar level of protection from vaccination alone, a higher level of antibodies is needed. Based on all the blood tests you and others in the survey have done, we have now worked out just how much higher. We compared how the risk of new COVID-19 infections changes across different antibody levels for the Delta variant, which was the most common variant when this research was done. The higher antibody level provides a 67% lower risk of getting a new COVID-19 infection with the Delta variant after two vaccinations, compared with someone who was unvaccinated and had not had COVID-19 before www.nature.com/articles/ s41591-022-01721-6
Without the blood samples you have generously given to the survey, we would not know this.
We are still learning about antibodies and COVID-19, and we will be using the blood samples you give in 2022 to work out what levels may be needed to give similar protection against the Omicron variant.’
