and I wouldn't expect those at UCL to be interested; they're looking into the science for the long term future (reaching mass market 15-20 years time)
I'm thinking about the real life situation now, we must start reducing ICE car use now, not in 15-20 years. And this reduction can't be a minor playing around the edges. It must be big before it is too late. Fact is reinforcing this on a daily basis, even now with having teenage children it's too late for them to benefit from a reduction in pollution at street level in cities, town and yes villages. But if action is taken Now maybe the next generation will at least start to see the benefits, with the generation after that hopefully looking back and know we did do something when we still had a chance.
How can this be achieved, by selling more EV cars now. Not in 15-20 years time. What do EV cars need right now, Li Batteries. Consumers want EV cars now, just look at what happened with VW and the ID.3 launch. Over 10,000 firm orders made already.
I've never said that Li will always be king, I've never said there won't be alternatives, I've never said that SAV is the only player in the game.
What I have said is we have a resource that is needed NOW.
Yes my train journey is slow, I expected this. Yes there are unexpected stops added or scheduled stops missed, again I accepted that the 'unexpected' would happen. But the train is still on the track, has a decent amount of passengers on it what agree with the route being taken.
Fact EV's are needed now and the Li for these is needed now and on a big scale. What happens in 15-20 years will be different, but that's not for today.
