Another unexplained drop. suspicious really.

Wishful thinking, watching this share whilst other increase despite the buybacks, profit, dividends…it’s odd!

O’Leary did an interview with Reuters news defending Ryanair’s results compared to easyJet…the excuse was weaker like for like comparison, or was Ryanair’s forecast way off and EasyJet more realistic…either way the market analysts should have know better than to sink Easy 10% on Monday, we are still trading at 2012 levels despite record demand…

Personally think they are being prudent, but that’s not a popular view.

Net debt reduced to below 2016 levels though.

Seems they are still trading well “ Wetherspoon's annualised sales are now approximately £2 billion, the highest ever level, and are over £100m per annum more than in the year before the pandemic.

"Profits, as we said in our recent trading statement, are increasing and employment is also at a record level. That is certainly not the impression the Daily Mail article gave."

Interestingly TD shares are off a further 7% today with Reuters calling yesterdays agreement between 1&1 and Vodafone a ‘black swan’ event equating to approx eur 600m annual revenue. Vodafone’s share price doesn’t seem to reflect the new deal though!

That could be it, although I was of the impression that debt had significantly reduced to circa 350 million before op leases which for a company that size with that many projects seems quite manageable and much of the debt is at fixed rates. Pension deficit may be a factor.
