It’s interesting Elliot bought a 5% stake in BP investing around £4bn in mid-Feb when the share price was around £4.60-£4.70 and the oil prices was not much different than today. They can’t be happy with the recent performance, if a bid were to emerge now would it be much higher than what Elliot paid? Why is it so low.

So this story came out at approximately 4:35pm London time yesterday after London close and has been denied prior to London open today meaning BP’s LSE share price has not changed. It’s all abit odd.

Doubt it, BP is in a better position today than a-few months ago. I’m not convinced $200 oil, a recession and global conflict is in anyone’s interest.

Being yanked down again.

The main question for me, aside from the large variance in market cap, is why this share price reduces at 2:30pm and why analyst targets for BP ADR are much lower than those for BP PLC on LSE.

Rubbish stock,the other defence and aerospace companies rise, this gets sold down.

The three trade deals that we have struck in three weeks will benefit manufacturing that accounts for around 5% of all employment in the West of England.

Reducing India’s tariffs on machinery, reducing the US tariff on cars and removing American tariffs on UK aerospace will support employers with a significant presence in the region like Airbus, Rolls-Royce and GKN Aerospace.

That’s all the gains after the UK/US trade agreement which includes aerospace parts gone.

i’m invested and see this as a similar story to rolls and more recently bab****.

FTSE up 1%, Melrose up bugger all. It’s all very odd.

The cynic in me thinks questions why an aerospace company, which is involved in a booming civil and defence market is falling on a general market up day.

This was £7 afew weeks ago and GKN is a blue chip not some bucket shop.

What a rubbish market, it gets pulled down erasing all of the days gains by just a few thousand shares. Smells

Does anyone else find the share price movements quite strange here. I really expected better given the trade deal which included aerospace parts and more positive market outlook, the trading update afew weeks ago was also quite positive?
