I took a peek at the Facebook Sirius page and copied and pasted this from a member who attended the agm.

These new investors don't seem to realise that this is still a junior mining share and have taken a battering of late, so will need some encouragement to hold on.
I think what we are seeing today is the start of the last 'treeshake', as there is little reason for this to stay down at this level for much longer.
I agree that the bonds will get away without too much trouble, but at present market sentiment is weighing heavily and may prise more shares out of impatient hands and into greedy suit pockets.
Keep the faith you lot, ride out the storm and you will be rewarded - eventually!

Anyone who doesn't grasp this basic fact explained by Scotman (in terms everyone can understand) should not be holding shares in sxx at this time.
Posters can share knowledge about the salinity of the water in Lockwood beck or the name of the vessel that carried the tbm to teeside etc, but NONE of this matters if we don't get the next tranche of bonds sold in September.
There will no doubt be much discussion over the next few days about topics raised at the agm, but always keep the bond sale as the next major de-risk event over the summer months.

1.7 million and and an average 15.6p could easily be beaten by many of the long term 'big hitters' on here, but they have the decency and dignity not to mention specific numbers.

The worst post? Apart from reading that the mine will now take 12 years to build and not three(ish) and the fact that one poster saw fit to ring head office to enquire about the exact date of the ribbon cutting ceremony, I'm going with the Poster 'SIPPnOOb' who told us one Sunday evening at 23.10.

I can't remember the poster who put up the well known adage that 'the stock market is a mechanism to transfer money from the impatient to the patient', but whoever it was they were right.

Our seo has stated that he would prefer more ii's than pi's as the build progresses and it looks like he has got his wish, as the events over the last few weeks have unfolded.

We have had several 'tree shakes' recently, but these should be few and far between now and first production. The wobbly holders will have all left by now and moved on, leaving the stalwarts and new money to carry this forward.

Remember the hype regarding the tech stocks in the late 90's, with the UK and US media always looking for something to ramp up to the general public?

Imagine the press coverage leading up to first production for this stock - we will be heavily in debt, but totally de-risked. The casual investor who reads the weekend press will then be clamouring to buy into sxx. Market sentiment is a powerful and uncontrollable force, which should lead to an above average price during that period.

The only factor I can't get a handle on is how much the convertible debt will be a drag on the price going forward. Will the holders just go along for the ride as the price rises and then short this nearer 2027 or is there a more realistic scenario? I would be grateful for any genuine insight into this.

The Sneaton brotherhood will almost certainly take control of the mine at some point and seize the assets.

I agree with what you have said on here today ffc, apart from any unexpected construction problems (which are in the lap of the gods), this has to rise long term, maybe not always in a straight line, but definitely onwards and upwards from here.
I doubt we will have to endure any more 'dog share' posts from now on.

Also, £5 million over the last 2 years in 'green' projects to keep the parkies onside - money well spent there though.

I was about to compose a rant about people telling us how many shares/ £££s they had invested, but you beat me to it.
A poster on the Sirius Facebook page gets well angry about this subject and aptly refers to it as 'c..kwaving'.

I'm sure the amounts quoted are true, but anyone could make up a figure out of thin air, so why wear your keyboard out telling us, it's meaningless.

Don't 'jog on' fella, keep poking a stick at them and maybe you could put an end to it. (rant over).

Several years ago I did describe sxx as a 'champagne or suicide' share.
No change there then.

The head barman Fraser lured us in by promising us a nice drop of Bollinger,
but so far has only come up with cheap watered down Cava - very disappointing Christopher.

He told us we should get used to the taste for a while, because it's better than dying of thirst.
I have to say this cheap plonk has left a bitter taste in my mouth, but I'm getting used to it now.

As it's voting day, who thinks we will be drinking the good stuff in 2021/24 - Yeah or Ney?

Off to work now, some of have to earn a crust now and then, but look forward to counting up

Sorry tuckupp, I apologise, not off to a good start am I - a bit rusty. After a long day at work it's tricky trawling through the 200+ daily posts to find the odd nuggett of gold - you must admit though that guy is totally bonkers, but not the only one on here!

It's over 4 years since my last post.

Older members may remember me as the court jester who posted the odd bit of twisted humour onto these pages in the past, in order to lift some of the heavy tension that existed around the dark days leading up to the Sneaton Castle planning meeting/ vote.

I've been away building a small business that's thankfully up and running now, but still managed to skim these pages most evenings. The quality of posts over the last few months have sunk the the lowest point since the formation of this page, even lower than the share price and new shaft.

In the bottom right-hand corner of your posting box there are six words in blue type, 'Please read the rules before posting'. I've copied and pasted three below:

Having followed the thread all morning, that has to be the best 'put down' of the month - so far. Having the ability to confirm another poster as completely mad from a keyboard and get away with it takes some beating - a rare laugh out loud moment for me. Hard to top, but I will surely be trying from now on.
