Scotman - I was about to mention that quote and give the exact time on the video for reference when I read your post.
If Scrimshaw called his 'friend' then why can't he make a second call I wonder? I know he only asked for 150 mill back then, but surely he and the rest of the board must have friends/ contacts with influence/ power/ cash somewhere around the globe.
I have always found it disturbing that we only ever hear Fraser commenting in public about sxx, the rest of the board seem invisible and sadly lacking in influence.
All very true LL, as usual... But...Do you think the bonds will sell, A - With no strings attached B - With conditions ( further dilution) or C - Fail..?
I'm hoping that this share will give me the commodity that money just can't buy - the most precious of all - 'Time'.
Spare time with family and friends , earlier retirement and handing over my small business for free and mentoring someone less fortunate than myself to secure financial freedom.
GK mentioned that he was eyeing up an empty park bench around 10a.m. this morning - That is currently a pipedream for me, but if, sorry when these bonds are sold that may eventually become reality sooner rather than later.
I hope all long term holders realise their dream over the next few short weeks - Best of luck to you all.
Sirius - The brightest star in the FTSE 100 (sooner rather than later?)
Jonesy - Taking the bones out of the article: ADX is a trend indicator....a figure of 20 is an indication of a trend....40 indicates a strong trend...Malkis quotes Sirius at 74....Sounds very nice.
At thevery bottom of the article the disclaimer says 74% of retail investors lose money trading with an IG account.
You could also use the DMI formula or stochastic or Fibonacci indicators....or you could keep your shares, go and watch a bit of telly and wait for Chris Fraser make you some money instead.
Guess which one I'm off to do now - nighty night ....see you all at 7.00am in the morning (hopefully).

Lost - You can also add to the list anyone who starts a sentence with 'I'll tell yer what'...
Especially Robbie Savage - Urghh.
LTH172 - I think many of our retirement plans will alter, one way or the other, over the next week or two.
Intrigued by the 'few other items of note' you have uncovered - Looking forward to reading about those when the dust settles over this share.
For now we wait...ATVB
ffc - I have stated recently that CF has integrity and I have always thought him completely trustworthy, unlike some BOD members of a couple of Canadian junior mining companies I got involved with in my younger days when I was a less experienced investor - we all learn by our mistakes.
I'm totally behind this project and have been since pre-planning, but I have rarely seen such a short RNS. There is usually a line or two to soften the blow when the news is negative at a crucial stage in development.
I've always had you down as one of the more savvy regular posters on here, still holding that view - ATB.
LTH172 - Thanks for supplying the fine detail. It's quite normal for a company to move in this direction as it matures, I've experienced this pattern before (this is not the first junior miner where I've held shares).
I'd be happy to see more institutional investors if I were a board member. It's just frustrating when you've been sat on the other side of the fence for so long, maybe I'm losing a little patience as I get older.
Some of the posts on here over the last couple of months have been tough to read, as people have sold up and cut their losses.
Good luck with your holding, I think we should soon see an end to these tense times, hopefully within the next two weeks.
ffc - A bit strong that reply - and then you finish with 'regards'!
We're all entitled to our opinions and there has been little sign that the individual investor has been well looked after recently. You only had to look at the body language of the board at the AGM to see how interested they were in facing the general public. Maybe we should dress up as Quatari sheiks next time.
Genuinely, all the best with your holding.
Dickyboy1 - I think the one-line RNS was deliberate, a last chance to reduce the number of private investors. Chris Fraser has said publicly that he would like to see a reduction in the number of private investors going forward. Like any CEO, he's after less volatility and more stability and the obvious way to do that is to flush out some of the more nervous types.
Reading the posts on here over the summer, the short RNS did the trick. He knows full well that this will shortly move from 'speculative buy' to 'buy and hold' and from his point of view, the more institutional investors from then on the better.
I'm guessing he's also happy to have a cohort of solid individuals that won't sell up at the first sign of trouble either.
ATB with your holding.
STRONG BUY + HOLD.
Oh yes GK, a slip of the keyboard there, for 'sands' read 'salts' - I think 'Dakota Sands' was a horse I once backed some time ago!
Verde - I was referring to how relatively calm this board has been this weekend and the certain storm of posts I anticipate when the pivotal moment surrounding the bond sale occurs.

No matter what your stance regarding this share, no one can dispute that this has been an awful summer on this board.
Bickering, backstabbing, mis-information, ramping and de-ramping – it has been mentally draining trying to keep up and read between the lines.
The tone has changed on here this weekend – many intelligent and reflective posts instead of the usual ‘handbags’. It feels like we are waiting for the whistle to blow before we are sent over the top.
Cherokee and GK echo my thoughts today. Institutional investors with large holdings are not in the habit of losing money and will certainly have details of the plan of action over the next couple of weeks. None of these have sold up and left, surely that is the most telling sign.
Individual investors have been given no new information lately – Hopefully no news is good news.
For the first time, I will admit to having lost sleep this week as we now come down to the real ‘nitty gritty’. If the bonds are sold without dilution, I imagine that the sale of shares will be suspended until re-rated, so do those sat on the fence step in soon or wait and miss the bargain basement price? Either way they don’t have long to decide.
Whatever happens the tone on this board will change. Failure to deliver the promised finance package yet again will mean the return of Nelson Sauvin and his tribe – not a pleasant thought. Success will no doubt bring new names bragging about being here since the ‘Dakota Sands’ days.
I can’t wait for the day when we can put the finance and the trolling behind us and look forward to reading intelligent discussion relating to the build progression, the projected share price at production and maybe potential takeover candidates. As it stands, this surely is a ‘blue chip’ stock in the making.
This is the calm before the storm….

chriso66 - The bond sale will unlock the funds see the project through to production, but plain sailing - no.
Vertical shaft sinking/ walling is no easy task, I will rest easier when this stage is complete. The quarterly updates on the excellent sxx website will update you on the tunnel progress.
There are many hurdles to overcome, but with a world-class build/ design team and state of the art specialist equipment now on site, this should see us through to completion and then production.
Good luck with your investment!

SIPPn00b - 20.38 - '....I haven't been flowing the total waffle here for the last three weeks....'
3/10 - Must try harder. :)
Batalyst 20.15 'always buy the dips'.
Brilliant - Never thought of that, now I know where I've been going wrong all these years.
Maybe I could 'always sell on the highs' as well - a true 'lightbulb' moment this evening.
Sunday….One individual….24 negative posts….Started 10.33….Finished 9.5 hours later at 20.06.
I wonder if the company employing this person pays double time on Sundays?
Superleggra….Nelson Sauvin….Members….KOH….The names change, but the negative message is always the same. With only two full trading weeks left before the pivotal bond sale, expect these individuals to become more desperate on this board.
The personal comments towards the CEO on here over the weekend were unsavoury to say the least, the waters will become even choppier now until we eventually reach the calmer waters of ‘Blue Chip Bay’.
Stay strong you long term holders and those waiting to return to the fray – we’re nearly there
Max - Agreed, and given the events of this week, I don't see a wipe out for us, but won't be happy until I read a positive rns.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, over and out from me until next week.

Debt... Ah, I see where you're coming from.
No, my handle's not Cambridge, I'm closer to Whitby than that. It's Trinity after the rugby league team and I work for myself, not sxx!
Debtnm... Let's not split hairs, it's the weekend after all.
Here's a quote from Fraser taken from 'Teesside Live' about two years ago - I think you can tell from this that he's in this for the long haul, so let's back him to get these bonds away, then we can all catch up on some sleep.
“I commuted from Sydney for the first few years, once managing 16 trips in one year,” he told me in the warmer lounge of the nearby Stables pub at Cross Butts.
“But I was jet-lagged all the time and my wife said it was time to move. In 2012 we set up home just outside Scarborough with the kids - my 12-year-old daughter now has a thick Yorkshire accent, but my son has managed to keep his Aussie voice!”
ATB.
Could I remind those involved in idle weekend speculation about Chris Fraser that he has brought his family half way around the world to set roots down in Yorkshire and his wife has built a house in the locality.
I doubt these are the actions of a devious man who is setting half the county up for a great fall, ready to make a quick get away. Yes, he's made promises that were only partially delivered, to the disappointment of private investors, but he's getting this world class project over the line slowly but surely in adverse market conditions.
The man has integrity, give him your backing at this crucial point. If you're not convinced you shouldn't be invested and trying to sow seeds of doubt.
