The proportion of cancelled warrants to open stock is unusually low. People hanging on for a higher price by the looks of things.

In fairness to the BOD you could have made a handsome return if you'd sold, as we all could have, when the share price spiked. We didn't and it wasn't because if anything the BOD did or said. I think a lot of people on here were unduly influenced by the rampy £1 party brigade. A small but vocal group, you know who you are. I don't see anybody giving them a good kicking and I don't see anybody beating themselves up for not taking advantage of the spike.

On that note I wish one an all a Happy and Prosperous 2023. Let's face it it couldn't be much worse than the year just about to end, could it!

If you assume 200,000g of platinum which is 6,450 Troy ounce at $950/oz you get about $6.2m which is more or less the figure they quote in sterling. No deduction for the 32% that goes to a third party or 70% reduction during processing to pure platinum.

Classic Eurasia over egging. If you’re daft enough to fall for anything they say that’s on you.

Well Dave starting from the premise that Eurasia always over eggs the pudding the 200kg is probably closer to 180kg or less. Then factor in the fact that, from memory, 68% goes to Eurasia and raw ore usual provides between 65% and 70% pure platinum and the 1.5% smelter royalty and it comes down quite a bit from the head line figure.

Being kind and assuming no massaging of the headline figure (some chance that). 200kg x 68% x 70% x 1.5% and you end up with about 90kg or 90,000g. Divide by 31.103 to get troy ounces and you have 2,890 ounces.

But that’s only one side of the equation. How much did it cost the produce this paltry sum?

The writing was on the wall long before the war. BoB will now trot out his usual "even at this level it's a 10 bagger for those who got in early" but as usual he completely misses the point. It's not whether this has bagged or not but whether it was ever a realistic proposition in the first place.

This has been nothing more than an orchestrated pump. If the FCA were in any way effective they would have been all over this sham of a company long before now but the FCA, as we know, is about as much use as a one legged man at an a r se kicking party.

How many times has that been said on this bulletin board? In the past 15 years the rear view mirror has provide a far more accurate picture of Red Rock than anything else.

The wannabes who regularly predict Red Rock's fortunes are about to change come and go as regularly as night follows day. I very much doubt 2023 will be any different to the preceding 15 years. The only constant here is Helpful predicting things that never come to pass. At least you can hang your hat on that.

I don't think you're going to have much luck there. Fat boy must be on the verge of retiring. He's milked a tidy sum from Red Rock and Regency over the years, generous pension payments included, so he'll have a jolly old time in retirement at PIs expense.

Its the DRC! Anything can happen and your recourse to law will be both expensive and unpredictable. I suspect, as somebody suggested earlier, fat boy knows nothing is coming from DRC and, like Greenland, he's just deciding to ignore it.

The Swiss-based mining company, Glencore, has said it will pay $180m (£147m) to the Democratic Republic of Congo to settle corruption claims. The agreement covers an 11-year period from 2007 to 2018. It is the latest in a series of corruption cases which has seen Glencore agree to pay out more than $1.6bn in fines this year. In May it admitted bribing officials in several African nations including DR Congo (DRC). The Congolese government has told the BBC it is not commenting. It followed an investigation by American, British and Brazilian authorities that also covered corruption claims in Latin America. Despite the fines Glencore is expected to make record profits of around $3.2bn this year......"

You would have to hope that Glencore will play things with a straight, or a least straighter, bat from here on.

I'm starting to get a bit twitchy about this "update" tomorrow given some of the recent share trades. I doubt they're out with the begging bowl yet again but maybe the update is not going to be quite as rosy as expected. I hope these misgivings are misplaced.
