Thanks for the reply. What Andrada will process or probably more accurately can process I’ll come back to but indulge me for now if you will.
We know what the capacity of the existing plat is, its 965,058 tonnes per year or there about. We also know that the new jig will process 100tph which, at 100% capacity, is
Potentially an additional 876,000 tonnes per year. If we assume a similar plant utilisation rate of the 89% (it should be higher since the plant is new) 779,640 tonnes.
In essence we will have a processing capability of at least 1,744,698 tonnes or ore per year.
Andrada states in the RNS of 17th. June the new jig will process up to 50,000 tonnes per month. That doesn’t equate to the 100tph for the new jig mentioned in the 31st. March RNS but hey, this is Andrada so we’re kinda used to things not quite matching up.
Consider this comment from the 17th. June RNS.
“ Based on historical resource data and our independent assessment, the deposit has the potential to be comparative to other high-grade occurrences of tin globally. Once production at the Plant is fully commissioned, it will significantly increase the tin concentrate throughput thereby elevating the Company's position in the global market.”
I think it worth considering what Alphamin in the DRC processed and produced in their last full financial year
“In their last full financial year (year ended December 2024), Alphamin processed 738,067 tonnes of ore and produced 17,324 tonnes of contained tin metal. The tin grade of the processed ore was 3.1% and the overall plant recovery was 74.7%.”
The only thing stopping Andrada from hitting a 5 figure tin metal output each year, as far as I can tell, is availability of a higher grade ore to process and that’s what the Goantagab deal supplies.
“Supply: Goantagab Mining is contracted to supply UTMC with up to 20 000 tonnes of ore per month, a cumulative total of up to 240 000 tonnes per year, at a requisite minimum tin grade of 1.5% based on the current mine plan from historic resource drilling. This will be supplied at cost, but subject to the profit-sharing agreement detailed below.”
The thing that’s got me scratching my head is why build another jig to process a mere 240,000 tonnes. We are currently process the higher grade ore through our existing jig right now. The full year supply will only take up one quarter to our existing processing capacity. Why add another 876,000 tonne capacity jig (or 40/50,000 tonnes per month, take you pick)? What am I missing.
At present Goantagab is only obliged to supply up to 20,000 tonnes of high grade ore per month. And that brings me back to your comment bohercom “They’ve already told us very clearly how many tonnes of tin they expect to produce this year, next year and the year after.”
In the 17th. June RNS it states.
“Andrada has the option to acquire 100% of Goantagab Mining shares for USD15 million subject to cert
