The NHS needs to be fully privatized, which would:
Improve efficiency, cash flow, quality of staff.
Jumping the NHS queue is sensible if you can afford it and some operations, for example for enlarged prostate, bunions or varicose veins, aren’t routinely offered on the NHS unless they are quite serious.
After all dentistry has private options, we don't call it QJ, indeed to the extent that it can be difficult to find a dentist without a long waiting list for NHS work.
Ergo, the more NHS work that is moving to private (using the same doctors) can only serve to increase the NHS waiting lists.
If the NHS were privatized, we could still have universal healthcare.
We could still make sure that nobody falls through the cracks.
We would be very likely to get better health outcomes, shorter waiting times, and greater choice, for a comparable cost.
