Actually, Bamps, I've eaten in 2. First one was a few years ago in Didsbury called The Greenfinch. That wasnt too bad either really. I guess that as with anywhere really some are a little better at what they do than others maybe???

Thanks for posting the reply you got. It was very good of you. Pretty much a standard response, but the explanation is good enough. Great news about finacials too. Tbf, relating to food, ive only eaten in one Marston's pub, which was The Glassworks in Stourbridge & it was ok, so not really had a bad experience to be fair. Had a few beers in nearby places but usually drink at home 9 times out of 10 but always look for Marstons beers out of loyalty really.

It is a bit concerning why the sp keeps dropping that's for sure. No bad news reported so no glaringly obvious reason for it beyond bad weather etc. Perhaps RF can shed some light on things when he replies to you. I'd be grateful of course if you would be kind enough to post his reply here when he responds, just to see what he has to say. Personally, I only have a small 1500 holding in here, plus the 93 free shares i got from drip due to limited funds, but still, I do like this company and think it has a great future ahead of it so have every intention of staying invested in. Sophisticated? I've been called many things in my time, but not that. Not entirely sure why we're out of favor, but as mentioned, debt level is eye watering, and maybe expantion & new builds should perhaps be put on hold for a while & concentrate profits on bringing debt down might be sensible for a while imo. There are other companies that have gone a bit ott with expansion and created issues for themselves, Premier foods for example spring to mind. They took out a huge loan out years ago to buy RHM, & share price virtually collapsed down to 3p at one point. No divvy there for as long as I can remember. I just don't want to see that happen here.

Dead cat posting on here now, is he. I can't see his post(s) due to him being filtered. That said he does spent a lot of time on Lloyds board stirring the pot. Best to ignore or filter to be fair.

It was just a thought, cacher/dinoken. I suppose that the supermarkets have the ability to shift bigger volumes of course, as I say, it was just a thought.

Would there be any benefit in Mars putting some kind of offer in does anyone think? I could see some benefit into us buying some of their shops and maybe having another channel of income for selling our brands, but that's about it. Any thoughts on this being fesible?
