Laura, I agree that things are looking considerably better for the current financial year for the reasons you refer to. Also a number of potentially game changing initiatives progressing behind the scenes which we may get news on before too long

I reckon Porky may not be too far away from the mark on his sales and loss figures, but I see no reason why there would need to be any further raises for a good while

Cash equivalents at 30th June 2023 were £416k and this was augmented by a raise shortly afterwards of £339k. So effectively we started the Y/E 30th June 2024 with c £750k. During the year we should have received an R&D tax refund, lets say £100k, but absorbed cash of say £550k (this consists of pre-tax losses arising in the year of say £450k and net outflows from the movement in debtors/creditors etc of say £100k). This would leave c£300k in cash equivalents at 30th June 2024. We did a further raise shortly afterwards of £406k so we effectively start the current financial year with c£700k. This is a very simplistic calculation and could easily be some way off the mark

It is important to mention the record committed work for the current financial year. It is quite possible that we could hit sales in the first half of this current year approaching those achieved n the full year to 30th June 2023. This will help to boost cash flow significantly

I think you are being a little unfair on CC. He has likely been instrumental in gaining and retaining clients like Merck and has contributed to a number of scientific publications which PYC continue to highlight. It does not surprise me that he has been retained as a consultant

The RNS describes the new contract as being with a 'large pharma'

In the IMC presentation of 6th April 2023 there is a chart at 2.25 in (same chart was on website). It shows Bicycle under the header 'Biotech/Midcap' whereas Merck KGaA, Servier, Astellas, MSD, Lilly, Bayer and others are shown under the header 'Big Pharma'

Maybe suggests it could be client other than Bicycle, but not sure

The specific wording used in today's RNS would indicate that it is linked to the £186k contract notified on 13th June

It could well be Bicycle, although they have been happy to be named in earlier releases

I have expected news on several fronts for a while now, so would not be a surprise

Despite savings in rent and management costs, the results will make for uncomfortable reading. They result from the decisions made by Jim Millen to grow the company, but to give him due credit he has set in place several ongoing initiatives which could completely transform the future fortunes of PYC

We have yet to hear much from Pete Sargent. He has good industry knowledge and contacts and is keen to progress the company and make it profitable, so the next few weeks will be very interesting

Linkedin certainly suits the likes of PYC much better but the greater their internet presence the better, so I hope they continue posting on 'X'

Mainstream media reporting is dire and predictable these days IMO. 'X' should control its content much better, but at least it allows an outlet for people to express a range of opinions on important issues

I have been a shareholder in PYC for over 10 years and this is as poor as I have known it for newsflow. Even the postings on 'X' have dried up. Must some due diligence going on behind the scenes (I wish)

Lack of news is a little frustrating. I suspect there is a lot of progress behind the scenes but PS not in a position to divulge just yet. The Beyond Blood Diagnostics/DosemeRx tie ups are exciting and I will be watching with great interest for further news

I was interested by JM's comments on the last IMC presentation regarding the work towards developing the tool for G-CSF. He referred to the Innovate UK grant funding for the work but also mentioned that 'we are also in discussions with Doseme around whether or not there may be some way we can work with them to gather more data to develop this tool further. Watch this space'

I sense that both companies see a real market opportunity to meet an unmet need and develop a predictive tool for G-CSF and are trying to expand data availability in order to accelerate its development

There was discussion recently about whether Hitesh Mistry was still acting as a consultant for PYC. On 15th August PYC put out a 'meet the minds behind the models' message on X and it was good to see Hitesh still showing. On the same theme, it would appear that Hitesh has now stopped his X account - a message 'This account does'nt exist' is showing.

I was expecting Peter Sargent to involve himself in regular direct communication with shareholders/potential investors when he took over as CEO in January but this has not been the case with essentially just one presentation, that being on 16th March

I expect that there is a nucleus of people who are sitting on the sidelines awaiting evidence that ongoing projects and new initiatives are going to lead to a marked improvement in financial performance. Until such time the share price is likely to continue to trade within a limited range

I can only assume that Peter is awaiting the end of the main holiday period (RNS releases have been very slow for a while now across AIM) before he launches into some serious company updates. Let's hope so !!
