Obviously welcome but is it just because time rolls on to announcement of news. Not complaining from the sidelines but the last couple of trading days feels like a surge after a week of rest around 20p after the fund excitement.
Probably MMs picking up stop losses in readiness for a move upwards.
Looking up today ?
Enjoyed a footie game in RR box at the county ground 15 years ago as an away supporter. Several directors and guests, came away distinctly unimpressed by the quality ofso called senior management. Dinosaurs living in the past. Saddened me as I had always regarded RR as a flagship of engineering.
Over a period of time suit me fine. As I look at the chart since last year we see a line that probably depicts the development of a typical mining exploration compant, whatever the commodity. Occasional spikes with a retrace that brings us back to the trendline. Ignore the 'noise' and be patient and enjoy the byrsts of news as rhey happen, gla.
Think I read on the board that GH seems to favour thursdays for RNS updates, could start October off well. Seems to have been plenty of action lately that would merit an update, not least from the broker forecast.
Well said saxon paddy got the recognition and rightly so but there are several very good contributors to this forum. Each of them helps the other to analyse and assess the technical information to hand so that a balanced assessment has been made. I am in awe of quite a few on here.
Just one more endorsement to you paddy, must be gratifying to have your assessment ratified by those on the ground and in possession of further detail.
One addendum to an earlier ploster suggesting the sp would go to 10p, obviously correct, pity he missed the pound sign in front of it !
Not sure we are all fretting bamps, there does appear to be concerted negativity from quite a few that nevet existed on here a month ago. Could be a few disheartened gamblers and a few kicking themselves at missing out last week. My inclination is a few have an agenda, either between themselves or a 3rd party, keen to keep the sp down. Can only guess why but good news will rule shortly.
Can just picture out there mush, a Jethro lookalike searching for musket balls from Wellington's peninsula campaign ! A mate of mine had me chasing a local farmer for days to get permission to do his field then spent all day to get a couple of rusty nails, eccentric British.
I,for one appreciate your posting bamps. This board has descended into farce after a couple of eejits post non stop rubbish. Regular posters need to stop encouraging them by replying to their threads, start new threads on alternative matters ,filter them or bombard the moderators with complaints when it gets abusive.
More to the point, nobody makes a purchase of that size on speculation, definitely not after viewing forums full of whingers and gamblers. Clearly, that doesnt include some valued posters on here, know who they are. The buyer will have done extensive research or been privy to detailed knowledge.
But I just wonder if anyone actually sold during that descent on friday with an intention to get back in at a lower price ? The MMs were clearly harvesting stop losses, nervous PIs and a few traders but most probably held on to those shares for the fund managers at close of play. Are MMs obliged to feed an offer to buy at the Ask or can they just refuse ?
