Look if the oil was so easy to get out then why was it not done so before? If it was such a easy in then why does it take a year to get a JV sorted? Companies would be falling over themselves but they are not.

Can we please get a grip. Concentrating on that billion barrels or oil is a misdirection from Arthur just like pie in the sky Nigerian licences that we all bought into for years.

COPL SP will increase on positive oil and news flow about increased production.

Get a grip Easy. If a joint venture does land soon then great but that is not why we should be investing at this price. LTH are desperate for a JV announcement so they can GTFO of this hell for the last 6 years! But don't hold your breath.

Hopefully sentiment is turning. It certainly does feel that way.

How many times are people going to blame MMs for the market reacting to hearing that yet more shares are in issue? It is another stock answer from rampy panty posters, just like the "you don't understand bonds" carp.

Anyone that tries to twist that bond conversions are anything other than yet more bad news has a misdirection agenda.

1. This is not taught in school thankfully
2. No the vast majority of PIs would not look at the amount of bonds in issue - be honest neither did you
3. Todays RNS still means a reduction in SP and an increase in the amount of shares in issue no matter what way it is spun.

Yet here we are Cyprus with yet more shares in issue due to this bond conversion this morning and yet again a lower SP.

No. PIs are p***ed off. Every month the amount of shares goes up and the price goes down. Month on month, year on year.

Oh that old chesnut. It is not a placing it is conversion of bonds! Oh yes because that is not exactly the same thing as further diluting the SP is it not? Yes it is. THERE WILL BE MORE SHARES IN ISSUE - THUS DILUTION. So stop trying to mislead investors saying it is not. And just look at the SP destruction this morning when we go live.

There must be a lot of thick investors out there that see an increase in the amount of shares due to bond selling/placements etc because the latest bond conversion is not sitting well with investors!!

A few more of those and it might indicate that a real investor (not minnow PIs) are investing.

It seems that people like to buy a share then leave a totally inane pointlessly positive post. This type of poster then normally argues with anyone trying to have a more balanced view - such is the destiny of the LSE boards!

Ash - sure the oil is real, the question is and I have been very clear about this, how extractable is that oil? Is it economically viable to extract it? The fact that we are over a year away from the "discovery" with no one rushing to help get it out the ground raises some serious questions.

It would best (IMO) to focus on real wells.

I wish there were more posts like this. There is nothing wrong with looking at the cold hard facts in a share that you are invested in. There is oil, we are in million times better situation than a few years pre-Atomic but that is a very low baseline to measure from.

We have a creaking set of wells that we bought off a failing producer that can't even produce in cold weather. There is a lot of work to be done (Which is being done) to increase the flow. I think we need to focus on getting what we have in better order and stop with the whole JV pie in the sky talk because it just smacks of the endless Nigeria well discussions we have had since 2016/7 ...

Saying all that - i wish us all the best of luck and that those LTHs that are very much underwater like me can get out their savings with hopefully a bit of profit !
