Good for you Robby. Enjoy your profits at a beach bar.
I did wonder if you'd sell over 170 and before a possible 172.

'PB. If you are more of a day trader/want quick returns, then no.'
Up until now and over the last few months, this has been a day/week traders dream. It's the volatility that has made many people good returns on in and out investing. Not always on the same day but certainly over a short time scale.
That said, whilst some bumps inevitably lay ahead, I think this coming week, then March 3rd will really start to propel IAG to a good sustainable rise. And the huge swings will start to disappear.
Only last week there was a fall then eventual rise to close of nearly 16p up. Turbulence indeed as conflicting news drip fed through about Vax doubts, new strains, possible lift in restrictions.
These huge swings in news 'breaks' are going to become less and less as we move into spring, the possible Vax passport etc.
The results are ahead of us, the devil will be in the detail, cash burn and retained 'war chest' reserves will push the SP hard either way on Friday.
After that, this will be the share to hold and reap great rewards.
I'm currently out. I may take advantage of any mid week swings, if the occur. After that, for me, dependant on results, I'm all in.
These are just my musings, I'm a pi like all of us.
Whatever your strategy, the very best of luck to all of you.
The loss is considerably less than Air France-KLM posted and after a brief dip recovered to the same levels.
EZJ fell sharply initially then ended up.
As we've all been saying, we all know IAG will be posting a loss. The article correctly points out its the future plans IAG have that the city will scrutinise.
Will be a bumpy Friday morning, no doubt, but for investors who are out or those with dry powder it could prove a huge opportunity.
The main thing is once the bell rings end of Fridays trading, that's it until Monday.
Will new investors want to be in and hold over the weekend, or wait the following week to see where the market sentiment really starts. By that, I also mean me. Tough to call. I'll be back in, that is without question. I absolutely believe in IAG. So it's not if, it's when.
Good luck all. Roll on BJ on Monday then Fridays results.
Great news.
My HONDA fund isn't doing too badly either.
New wheels, paint job and fluffy dice.
Enjoy the weekend guys, think all our eyes will be on BJ come Monday.
Stay safe
Yup, was available (if you could get in) at 29.65 at 16:10 on my platform.
But monty was talking about his % down.
Good luck to you pal.
Regardless what Monday may or may not bring, great day for all holders. Chuffed for all of you.
I'm still out but sat on dry powder, which was considerably boosted by my punt yesterday on KNB.
Which gives me a nice wedge to eventually get back in.
Have a great weekend all, chill and enjoy.
@arms999
I know him from the IAG BB, he's a good guy. Cut him some slack. We've all been burnt at some time. If anyone on this BB says they have never lost money somewhere or misjudged an entry into a stock they are lying.
Remember the old adage buddy. A loss is only ever a PAPER loss, unless you sell.
You've got a chunk of a new progressive company, pretty much at the start. Remember all those 'idiots' buying Tesla? Plug Power? in the beginning.
If you don't need your 10k wedge elsewhere, what's the harm in holding?
After the IAG RI, I was sat on a far greater 3k loss than your currently nursing. And that came good, as you know.
Good luck mate. I wish you well.
Same exit price as me.
Am a happy boy today.
Anyway, back to IAG!
GLA
Did you take a punt buddy?
GLA
A ha!
Normal service has resumed ;-)
In and out.
Will watch throughout the day.
GLA
WOW
Thanks for the heads up about KNB
I've made more money there in 9 minutes than I've ever made on IAG.
@arms
Saw your post there, I hope you jumped in.
FOR THE RECORD -
I'm NOT promoting or advising ANYBODY to invest there.
I put in a cheeky punt at open and it's gone a bit mental.
Good luck all.
I don't believe International travel will be announced as a 'go' on Monday.
As such, I hope there will be a hint of a support package or loan facility for travel companies.
The devil will be in the detail.
Good luck all.
@arms
I've done the same. Put a cheeky punt order in.
Good luck if you've done the same.
Best of luck to all.
@D9
IAG hit 170 in November and December in the midst of winter Lockdown misery.
The roadmap out is days away, the results over a week away.
You've held your position for so long, sat on a PAPER loss, so in reality, from today's SP, your not that far from a real profit.
I personally believe that results day will bring a dip in the SP, an opportunity for those that believe in IAG (Like me), that said, this share can rise like a phoenix. I have no doubt you will see your 169 sooner than later.
Good luck to you.
@Port
What was your entry price?
Good luck buddy.
@deep.
Great shout about KNB.
I'm going to take a fun punt tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.
@A69
Will watch LRE closely tomorrow. Good luck with your investment there
I think next week will provide quite a few opportunities for guys with dry powder.
@Mike
Good for you buddy
GLA
Well as we all know, this share is the comeback kid :-)
@sun your right. With your av your sitting pretty to fully exploit rises in the SP!
Good luck as always to all.
Invest, reap, repeat (or rinse as A69 says)
My tuppence worth is this regarding the now drip feed of 'roadmap' news. And its effect on today's SP.
1. Zero mention of International travel.
If pubs can't fully open until July, there is no way in the same month all flight restrictions will be lifted or opened eased.
2. Furlough is meant to end at the end of April.
BA (the biggest chunk of IAG) has a lot of furloughed staff across many departments. If there's no travel and BA have to start paying all their staff with little income, will raise concern about cash burn. Which I think is what everyone is waiting to digest and analyse Feb 26th.
3. I mentioned last week that if no green light for summer flights was mentioned, then a travel industry wide support package would be mentioned.
There is no hint of that. So far.
4. I think sentiment is slowly seeping away as investors would rather 'wait and see'.
Not just here, but in taking stock of many companies.
5. Of course, ALL of this is probably 'factored in', what do I know. It has been pointed out that iis, fund managers and wealth creators believe the SP is fair value.
I posted yesterday morning that I did not see this going anywhere near 170 and that it would settle in the high 150s.
Unfortunately, I don't think 156 is unrealistic some time before week's end.
