Charlie, I hope you are right, however it can still be that Tesla bought Maxwell for their battery tech.

I hope the recent shareprice is due to the start of the Murata line and that Tesla/Maxwell isn’t priced in.

I used this weekend to get some distance and with a fresh mind looked to what is known:

Battery day picture shows needles which are important for supercapacitors tech.

Tesla bought Maxwell for battery tech + supercap tech.

Cap-xx ip is to my opinion very strong (they actually patented the powerdensity as far as I understand, will research further on this) and likely that Maxwell has been using this and will be using this.

Tesla wants to make a big impression with the battery day and isn’t waiting for dirty things lime a patent infringement case...They want to show that they are this innovative company... a lot will be done to keep this under the radar...

Also a lot mentioned in combination with solar.

Could be graphene nanowires. These are perfect for supercaps, they give a huge surface.

What a day... and still guessing what caused this raise:
1 making more public that cap-xx won the court case against Ioxus ?
2 The cap-xx website mentioning that they started to produce on the old Murata equipment ?
3 Ca-XX refusing to accept the offer to settle from Maxwell/Tesla ?
4 Tesla’s battery day coming up and the idea that they use cap-xx IP ?
5 The understanding that 5G and IOT will become a huge market ?
6 What did I forget ??

Btw. I think the Tesla/Maxwell court case is always a problem for them in case nothing has been arranged before battery day. Newspapers will grab this courtcase for sure as big news the day after battery day... And the only thing where Tesla can discriminate themselves with the big german 5 is battery life.... Exciting times with soon answers !!

Suppose you are licensing Cap-XX ip (Murata, CDE, AVX, likely XS power) For your products would you like it Strategically to become Dependent of Tesla ? I do not think so.

For the law, everyone is equal. This means two things:

1 Size doesn’t matter.
2 would be very strange in case outcome Maxwell will differ from Ioxus. There must be a very good story...
