The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I agree HK the products are essential for the companies success, but under Callum the business was able to capitalise upon their core competencies and find success where it matters, hence the SP was trending upwards.
We'll see what the near future brings and i hope all can be resolved promptly.
Would like to see more news coming from BATM, SP needs to gain some momentum to reach the 30's or even 40's which i believe the company has all the right fundamentals to do so in the short term.
Yes my mistake - long weekend
Agreed RKB, investors must realise by now that the boards interests are not aligned with shareholders, this has been the case for quite some while and was made extremely evident with the unruly sacking on Callum. My fear is that it may take a while to regain investor confidence if something drastic isn’t done soon.
I'm guessing through investors brokerage companies who typically maintain records of their clients' holdings and provide necessary information to the companies. Or proxy solicitation firms and services to communicate with shareholders, especially during AGM's. Nothing dubious going on.
Bellers you could be right, given the timeframe it’s probably best to involve key players rather than every holding.
Nothing unusual here. A very short response window has been given. Clearly with a view of nullifying some of the vote for the resolution. Those with the letters need to respond immediately.
Can't read most of the important information on ADVFN due to Institutional investor's schizophrenic rants.
The resignation date basically buys Russo and Taylor enough time to sap the life out of the remaining finances and anything left valuable, they are smurfs. Don't be fooled, we must push for an earlier resignation as i fear they will employ scorched earth tactics, leaving us investors empty handed.
Stock Sensei, I'm expecting a strong bounce back from BATM, and quite frankly thought the SP would have been a whole lot lower than it is right now. Once tensions ease I'm assuming the 30's would not be out of the question. I just hope we can really start to get the ball rolling soon as i could be making more money in a savings account...
Left this alone for a few days and after reading Chillbrandswatch.com, there seems to be a whole lot more to uncover than just lazy ownership. Just furthers my interest to vote out Russo and Taylor at the drop of a hat. If not, i fear we may enter bagel land.
From a shareholders point of view it would be particularly 'brain dead' to vote against the resolutions. Once resolved i believe double figures will be achieved within a short period. Lets hope callum can get back to his usual ways once reinstated.
Really positive stuff coming from BATM recently, sounds like they're getting their act together. Of course the SP does not accurately reflect this but i'm sure it will in due course.
This extract for the chillbrandswatch website is particularly interesting "the duo has raked in a whopping £2,299,046 in compensation for the three years from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2023, a hefty sum that stands in stark contrast to the company’s colossal losses of £14,849,695 over the same period". Basically exacerbates how badly we need to vote them out at the next GM.
Lysonden i like your enthusiasm however i fear that it won't be so simple!
Oppenheimer does have a clear agenda with statements suggesting that bagel land is around the corner. Whilst this is not completely out the picture, i don't think this is possible if callum is reinstated in the near future. In fact it will be interesting to see how far the SP jumps if he comes back soon. Despite the negativity/speculation surrounding Chill Brands, i remain very bullish for the year end. Will be increasing my skin in the game quite soon.
Buysellfred, there is a high chance the two unknowns will refrain from running the business into bagel land like Russo and Taylor are doing. At this rate, us investors are just waiting for the dead cat to bounce if they remain on the board.
My biggest concern is that Russo and Taylor have no plan to align their interest with ours, as seen with the suspension of Callum.
As RKB mentions, we MUST be voting to remove them if we are to see positive change surrounding Chill Brands.
We would be foolish to assume board member Scott Thompson and co are acting out of objectivity but rather Callum has done nothing to p*** them off and they are sacrificing the integrity of the business to get a 1 up. Once they see how badly the business operated without him, he will be reinstated.
Not disastrous news but definitely a hindrance to the business with Callum on suspension. Will be interesting to see how events unfold, I believe the corrupt crew in charge will have to come to their senses and reinstate Callum. Once this occurs we can see some positive SP action
