Lol..... Looking at the price action a sell is more likely....... Right?
Most likely a sell. Probably from the mornings open...
Harsh drop but not unexpected in hindsight. AVCT has acted poorly towards the very retail investors that help drive their share price up. Heavily manipulated price action prior to the discounted placing. Whilst all the time the CEO stating on live interviews they were fully funded.
Obviously, the people who took the placing dumped their shares into the market because they knew they were replacing them with 1.20 placing shares. Don't forget that's a lot of shares hitting the market next month, and those shares will be sold heavily to protect the profit investors made on the ones they dump higher up. it's going to create some drag on the SP.
The only thing that will save this short term is a successful result with the POC testing strips. but I'd wager that's going to be delayed dragging the SP down further as aim crucifies delays. dread to think what would happen if they announce a failure, why to raise funds if you are making hundreds of millions from test strips per month...
So that leaves me thinking that this will come could but will take 5 years plus and a hell of a lot more money to get them through trials.
Dream Machine, recommending to newbies that they take their loss to go chase rainbow elsewhere is irresponsible. better advice to those new in the market is to research your buys and have the conviction to hold if nothing has changed. by all means, have a strategy in place to sell when a line is crossed, but do not sell a share to go chase the next ramped up stock. Its a sure-fire way to blow up your account.
Ratios to be confirmed.... I don't like that as he said 1 for 1 in the interview.
I know they probably have to say that but I'd still like to no for sure.
just offered £5k at 96. via HL
Good to see Myles has tweeted he still holds all of his 2.3m shares and not sold any.
He also stated he confident in the market for LFD COVID tests going forward.
The SP will recover soon, Id like to see something from AVACTA. to steady the ship. Another Interview or market update would assist.
I don't think it would be possible for AVCT to move any quicker, They have done an amazing job on their time scales. This product is like a shop window for the company to showcase its amazing Affimer tech, rushing something out and getting it wrong would be a disaster. They said mid-Sumer I'm happy with that if things are done correctly.

Finally, I have been urged to buy Avacta (LON:AVCT) again. This morning I paid 150p
I believe that it takes up to two weeks minimum to develop antibodies.... much longer in some cases
also, you can have the virus without showing symptoms, at this stage antibodies will not have been created in the body
The race isn't as straight forward as that, the first to market will have a temporary advantage, but there will be manufacturing constraints. The world needs billions of these kits so there will be multiple companies servicing a huge global demand. From there the best kits with greater reliability and simplicity at point of care will start to dominate the market. ODX has government backing and some great minds collaborating on this project. Its unlikely to fail and the end result should yield a solid product that will be endoresed by the UK government.
