clairesmith- hahahah the last 12 quarters support your point Granny, quarter by quarter record revenue growth.. International growth superb (81% growth in the Us this H1). This model, as previously cited by another contributor, works anywhere in the Western world and the results reflect this year on year.
Who is BOO (the groups) biggest competitor? Asos? Most likely yes, 16-25 females don't have the brand obsession young males have or certainly a phase young males go through. BOO/PLT etc etc, provide cheap, fashionable clothing per occasion- it has completely changed the culture, people are now buying PER occasion. Why? As its so cheap. Asos you have scroll through 80-100 pages to find the clothing you desire, unless of course you filter of course (to brands..) but it is still a tedious and time consuming process. BOO on the other hand have a max of 8/10 pages and a 'new in' every day.
Asos while being the only real plausible competitor is the BOO group is actually very different. Asos is essentially a hub for a variety of different brands, margins are nowhere near as good and the price/s are not v competitive to BOO.
Next/H&M/River Island? Forget it, not in the same league.
