Excessive costs7 Feb 2018 11:53
You can't compare those as they are not like for like. Victoria golds planned mine in the Yukon is ten times bigger than Kiziltepe which is a tiny project. Also the costs are projected not real. The costs are on plan and totally reasonable in my opinion.
The problem is the lack of investment in exploration. Kiziltepe could be in expansion by now with additional resources and satellite crushing stations feeding the plant.
CIL is also a more expensive process because of the chemical and electrical costs. Heap leach or gravity sorting is much cheaper and quicker to redeploy.
I think that this management need to show that they can do something other than steal shareholders money.
They need to dust off their drill rig and go do some work.
