As global transition to ‘green economy’ will require more nickel, copper, palladium and
platinum we are expanding our investments in environmentally friendly production
growth.

We'd mine WK and go with the Sinosteel EPC deal at MT.
This has all been thought through by the BoD.
Even greater return. Longer timeframe.
Google eua sinosteel epc
You'll see the details on whichever link you pick - Proactive Investorsa, etc.

Evening all
Not been on this board for some time but from the ShareTalk presentation this afternoon it looks like some things never change. (RY)
However, while I wait for the endgame at EUA to play out, I have time to reflect on the research I did previously in various companies.
AMC offers some strong possibilities.
I really like the NRR move and it sounds like AH has beefed up the BoD. So I'm back in.
From memory Amur went from 4p to 44p the last time I was in, so let's hope they get their act together and give us some of that again.

If it's an asset sale the share price would drop after the divi and the index would be negatively impacted.
If its a company sale, EUA will disappear having taken the index higher. If the salle is to NorNickel the value disappears from the UK market, so the index rebalancing to 85% of freefloat will mean ...

I'm Al IN.
AND on a free ride having already multi-bagged on my total investment by selling a mill.
It couldn't get much better.
(But obviously I'm expecting it will, as I remain ALL IN and waiting for the sale/JV/divi )
I know it's completely contrary to all good investing advice, but these are highly unusual circumstances.
Even so, I would counsel that anybody thinking of making any major investment understand the risks involved before they commit a penny.

Morgan Stanley survived the 2008 crash by being smart.
They set their sails, navigated the stormy waters, and steamed into fresh territory with their new partner.
They're a bunch of smart cookies.
As are UBS and DLA Piper.
The amount of Due Diligence that will have been done by these global heavyweights all points in one direction.
It may be a complex deal but it will be a deal.
Being included in the index is just a sweetener now that trackers using the MSCI United Kingdom Index now need to include Eurasia.

Nornickel are proposing paying a divi of approximately USD 1.2 bn with an approval EGM on December 10th. Will this sweetener be enought to convince Rusal of the benefits of acquiring EUA?Who knows? But Rusal's slice of the pie at around a quarter of a billion would be enough for most with a sweet tooth.GLATr1ck
How any individual sales process is put together is up to the BoD.
They'll take advice on what is the best way forward from the Investment Bankers and pick the process most likely to optimise the outcome. There are a lot of possibilities here - anything from sealed bids, open auction, Dutch auction, whole company sale, JVs and other special purpose vehicles, individual asset sales, ...
Throw in the tax jurisdiction stuff and its hugely complicated even before you get to the geopolitics.
Real fun stuff to do if you're an advisor. High stakes for all us shareholders.

Less of the 'Glaswegian Kiss' stereotype. I'm sure it was just a love tap.
I made the mistake of watching Just A Boys' Game on BBC4 last night and it brought it all back.
Mind you, that was late 70s Greenock, so a lot better than 60s Glasgow was.
(still wouldn't swap it for anything though)
Hi Ian
Can you put me down for November 5th.
For no other reason than I want to see fireworks and this way I won't be totally disappointed.
And I'll stick with a miraculous £5.13 a share - for no earthly reason at all.

Last time I was involved in a competitive JV set up situation (admittedly only around a £quarter billion) we fully lawyered up for the last 8 weeks.
M&A advisors were involved throughout the process - ! was there running the show for 15 months in total, consultants came and went - and lawyers were consulted along the way. But it was only in the latter stages when we were agreeing the details of the deal that they were really in the mix.
Not long now.
