Beginning to look grim. What will happen when we get a bear market?
The best one can say about the sp is that in recent months it has been on a magrInal downward trend. The usual argument that the present team has not been in charge for very long will not do...The last time I posted a similar view concerned DB which attracted much criticism.Lets hope this is not the case this time.Anyone any news?
It could be argued that Katie's argument is static whereas a dynamic view would take into momentum is with the company
53k shares are roughly 40% of the bonus so this could be genuine,More importantly is the question 'what performance?'How much would his bonus be if the share price topped 100p.
Saying it is indisputable does not make it so.Is it not possible that the value of sterling has fallen because of the doom and gloom spread by Osborne and Cameron? The main factor that makes economic forecasting difficult is that there are too many variables that cannot be quantified the main one being expectations.Whatever the outcome of the vote I am reasonably certain that the pound will increase soon after the vote. With respect to your personal situation it is a fact that the pound has not fallen below its value 12 months ago so you have had a bonanza over the past year.So whatever the verdict tomorrow there will be no reason to slit your throat unless Osborne et al continue to peddle nonsense.
It is not a given that an out result will lead to a freefall. You have obviously swallowed the in propaganda. It is likely that there will be temporary fall which will soon be reversed. The forecasts made by some economists are based on vested interests and are seldom supported by economists without such interests. How do I know?Because I am an economist who understands how such pessimistic forecasts arise. The output from a forecast depends upon the input which in itself is capable of selected items that can give any outcome one seeks. This is why it is often stated that if you lock a dozen economists in a room you will get thirteen answers to any given problem. These so called experts simply shovel selected data into a computer which is guaranteed to yield an outcome which their bosses seek. Thus business, government and academic economists are simply looking after their personel interests. In reality economics is as much an art form as a science as many of the great economists such as Keynes and Galbraith have shown.Remember that the so called economists were unanimous in calling the retention of the pound a disaster some years ago. There is much more that can be said on this issue but I will not risk boring you any longer.
Concerned.
We have been advised by several individuals on this forum to forget the DB era and move on.However when the share price behaves like this one in spite of good news it is difficult to forget the past.In those days some responded to legitimate questions by advising 'get out of the kitchen' and I've no doubt such advice will be given again. In the past the share behaviour was attributed to MM activities and this will happen again so anyone wishing to pile in again should be aware that history often repeats itself. Many share holders of Coms are very loyal, including myself, but at some point legitimate questions should be asked. As usual I am hoping for the best but fearing the worst because we are loyal.
Miss G, Your reply is inconsistent in that the price has clearly fallen but you then provide joke answers as to why it has fallen.Perhaps the rumours about you have some validity.
The pre RNS price must have have reflected an element of uncertainty but as a consequence of the RNS report much uncertainly must have been dispelled. Thus why has the price fallen today?I am looking for plausible answers please.
Having lived through the tenancy of BD I am not as optimistic as to the future as some on this site.Every time the price increases it is immediately knocked down. Before it is mentioned I don't think this post warrants any answer ,particularly the one which suggests I sell because I have some concerns. In the past I posted misgivings about BD and it was suggested I sell.It I perfectly legitimate for one to voice such concerns.
You are quite correct. The major beneficiaries would appear to be the B of D's who will no doubt be drawing their salaries and expenses without, it appears, much thought for shareholders. It is to be hoped that at the next remuneration meeting the big shareholders ensure that there are no increases until there is some positive news to let the shareholders know or at least why Tui appears to be performing much better.
Many thanks Plantravel for your explanation.
Someone has just asked me what smart homes are and so I resorted to Google to find an explanation.Could not understand a word.Could anyone help by giving a simple laymans explanation. Many thanks.
I believe the very poor update is responsible for the poor performance relative to the rest of the industry. It is becoming apparent that the management team is not up to the job.
Adrift, I'm not sure why you need to be so objectional.Perhaps it is in your nature.Lighten up a little or else you will encounter trouble in the future.
This share price has probably changed more times today than in the whole of the last 6 weeks. Why?
Holders saying this share is on the verge of something big, like in the days of BD,but in reality going nowhere.Yes there was a temporary hike but this seems to be fizzling out.Yes I am a substantial holder .
Well you got your push.Unfortunately in the wrong direction.
What makes you state that there are no prospects of a substantial price rise?.Surely yesterdays increase was substantial?Coukd it be that you want the price to fall for personal reasons?
