Sorry if my posts last night and this morning all appear negative. As you can tell, I was shocked, very surprised, and annoyed at last nights events and the rushed nature of them. I could not, for the life of me understand the rationale, nor how it could be a positive thing for us investors. Anyway... seen several musings on here as to why they did it, but none of them feel right to me. What do you all reckon? Seemed like they had an urgent need for short term funding to me?

Copperpot hope you’re right, but I swear if I hear that phrase “playing a blinder” one more time I’ll lose control. Been seeing it on these boards for so long without any return it really grates. He reminds me of Ray Wilkins. The crab. Always going sideways. Exploration company. Prove the resource. Sell it. Return some cash to investors. Prove another resource. Sell it. Rinse and repeat. Not rocket science.

Was always going to drop to at or around the placement price. TSX made that apparent last night. BoD clearly thought that’s what they could safely get, therefore what the company was worth at this point in time. We now have probably gained many more day traders to clear between here and 30p.

Good luck Newbie111 think you’re getting in at the right time. Wish I had waited until now, could have had my money invested elsewhere for the last 10+ years, and saved myself a lot of angst.

Anghol.... we’ve been funding NM and his crew digging holes for years now. Continually asking for more and more, to dig even more holes, without any clear indication of a strategy to receive a return on that investment is just taking the p.

Sorry Quady, don’t wish to appear confrontational, but this share is the very definition of boring! I didn’t attempt to take part last night, nor was I tempted to buy at the same price as the discounted offer, which was obviously going to be available this morning. Reason being that over the years NM has received enough of my money, and to date I have received diddly squat in return. Now I understand that investing in exploration companies is the long game (was accused of impatience last night! Oh how I laughed) but the one is really dragging on. Hoping, and beginning to think we are nearing the end game now though. Still struggling to understand the rationale behind last nights rushed events. The “get them now, at this one of bargain price” type gimmick never sits comfortably with me. The seeming lack of director buys also seems worrying. All that said, still believe this will pay off, but it IS pretty boring waiting years and years for that to happen!

Cookiecrew.... do you know that the take up exceeds offer, or did you mean “If” take up exceeds offer? Vital for the SP that it does.
Suspect it also introduces more short term speculators who will sell around the 30p mark though, which will slow our progress even more. Feeling a bit glass half empty tonight. Didn’t see this coming tbh.

Opulentia .... dilution is rarely a good thing for private investors. You can’t just pick an arbitrary point in time when the SP was lower than the dilution offering and say “well you could have bought then”. Investing doesn’t work like that. Long term holders are in at a number of price points. They are awaiting a sale of the proven assets. With Solg, this seems a very long time coming. In my humble opinion.

Novice.... wouldn’t know where to start. Have no direct experience in the mining sector. As an investor in Solg, that’s what I pay NM for. And he has done exactly that. I want my share that’s all. It’s how investing should work. He cannot be said to be “playing a blinder” a phrase I see often on here.... if he consistently ignores the shareholders, and consistently does little to support or enhance the SP.

Been in this share for a good number of years now, the wait for something positive to come out of the ground is interminable. These latest RNS’s are dilution, plain and simple. Albeit small dilution, and it’s good that private investors are getting a crack at them, but 21.5p? Really?
FFS Nick, this was supposed to support my retirement. I am already retired, and the way you’re going about things my kids won’t even benefit from my investments. You run an exploration company. You’ve proven the resource. Get the finger out, sell it, let us share in the proceeds, and explore elsewhere. That’s what we were sold, and that’s what we expect from you.

Couldn’t have put it better myself Zoros. Not just on Solg, but throughout the LSE website you see these market manipulation claims. Always makes me chuckle. Put it this way.... I would never invest a penny in any stock or market I believe may be rigged. Clearly there are many on here who do so though. Why on earth do they do that!

This share fast turning into my best ever investment..... in fact, if the price reaches 8.7p, which I think it will soon, I’ll be able to sell a third of my holding, and take a free ride from that point. Despite the hold recommendation, I intend to do just that. Failed to cash in on too many shares too often in the past. GLA.

I am a long term holder, and infrequent poster to these boards.... but I am getting to the point in my life when I stop putting money in to my pension fund and ISAs and start to take it out.... I really need NM to start making things happen here. Not looking to make a fortune, but I have a lot invested here, and the quality of my retirement would be greatly improved if he could get the finger out! I have decided to set a time exit point, rather than a price exit point. He’s got until the end of 2020, then I’m getting out, into a decent dividend paying share.

If we drill any more cores there won’t be any Cu or Au left in the ground to mine, it’ll all be inside huts in Ecuador being peered at by geologists. Still, that should save on the setup costs. Come on ffs. Let’s get this party started.

I got out around 4:15. Having got in on Thu 28th, I originally decided to allow until Wed this week, so held on 48 hours longer than I was comfortable with. Good luck to those who remain in.
