Anyone got any thoughts on that £1m trade yesterday? Showing as a sell, but I think it could be the first 10% of the buyback at a negotiated 112p. how / when must Zeg notify on progress of the buyback? Thanks.

I am also new in here, bought in last Wed at 104p. Always nice to see a recent purchase get a nice kick start! Usually goes the other way in the short term for me, I rarely time things well!

They’ve drilled a heck of a lot more at Alpala. When those results came out in late 2018 we had a SP double what it is today. With less shares in issue.

Ice... never said exploration didn’t add anything to an exploration company. Of course that’s silly. What I said, was that today’s news release did not have a positive effect on the SP. I further suggest that as far as Solg is concerned, further drilling updates will result in the same “meh” reaction. I believe this is because, unlike other exploration companies, Solg has indicated it wishes to transition the company from an explorer to a major miner. The lack of belief in the market that they can achieve that is being reflected in the SP, at the expense of us investors.

All this said, it’s extremely disappointing, and a bit telling for the next few months, that on release of drilling results the SP drops. And more than the index.

Only time share price moved up significantly in past couple of years was when BHP increased stake. It then fell back to where it was when nothing further happened to indicate any bid was forthcoming. So, in my humble opinion, all the fantastic drilling results in the world won’t move the SP significantly from here. The market seems well aware that drill results from Solg are just more same old same old, Only signs of a bid, or getting Cu / Au out the ground will have a meaningful SP impact. One of which is several years away yet. In my opinion of course.

That post did make me chuckle. There was my thick head naively thinking most investors and traders, wherever in the world they were, did most of their trading during the business day of the country they were in.

SimonFox... just a quick glance at the last 50 RNS show that only around 60% of them were issued at 7am. Why do you think it stinks?

UKinvestor.... read the RNSs issued late May, regarding SP activity, and the ones late June 2019 regarding the court rulings to get the background and outcome.

There was news of a potential referendum on mining in Ecuador. All in the past now, but share price never recovered from perceived risk. All in my opinion, DYOR, etc, etc

Felt that yesterday was pretty interesting on here yesterday, with some pretty lively - and civil - debate and speculation around just some of the potential future outcomes here. Thanks to all who contributed to that, it was a refreshing change to some of the previous toxicity. Whilst there are clearly several individuals who are just coming on to try to disrupt, I personally find the idea that they are doing so for personal gain or ulterior motives a conspiracy theory too far, but perhaps I am naive. I certainly wouldn’t base an investment decision based upon what I read on an internet chat forum, and don’t think others would either. I am however, mildly irked by posters encouraging others to ignore, filters or “bin” other points of view. It’s rude and unnecessary. If you don’t agree with someone, ignore them or respond with a constructive counter argument. That’s what this board is about. Cheers all, let’s have a good week here, both with our investments, and each other.

So Copper.... I’m suggesting, that within a year, a 21.45p share will, in worst case scenario.... be worth 45p. And I am doing that, in order to get holders of these 21.45p shares, to sell them, in order that I may buy them for less? Is that right? Not quite sure I follow the logic? Am I understanding you correctly?

Scoutt.... I think what you outline would be a very best case scenario for BHP, but I don’t feel they have enough skin in the game yet in order for such a bid to succeed. I think they will either need partners, or bid much higher. Or, after October, they could start purchasing on the open market, but that in itself would force the SP higher.
