Since AACR, the BioConvention and the Modi Patent being published - there seem to have been few if any snippets coming from the Company and for example, I don't remember any 'tweets' being posted on the BB. Something may (or may not) be going on - such that might, when breaking, dwarf any update we could be given now. Is it possible that all SCLP 'players' are fully engaged atm ? I'm mindful that when any 'deal' is close in 'Business', as a rule, security is at its tightest. All good fun and pure surmise ! But it is IMO, uncanny quiet right now . . . . . . . ?

Don't exaggerate. You posted earlier that BoD had failed to achieve 'balance' with news for 3 years - I daresay I am not the only poster to recall that. And here you are again dancing around with the same point. How can there be 'secretness' if they are disclosing ? The point is that whenever there IS news we get it. It's no good asking for more ? I've been arguing that WHEN there is news or PR for that matter, hard commercial insights are essential. Actually it's just a few of the clued up Posters that have led us through the process and thanks very much to them for that. As for updates - when BoD have something to update us with, then they will. That will be news and we'll get an RNS. IMO it not reasonable to expect a commentary from them. What IS important is that news is given clearly and widely WHEN there is the opportunity. ATB

I understand the point made by some, that 'we've already been told' of the granting and publication but IMO BoD should definitely RNS today now that the Patent is published. Why ? Well it is an opportunity to bang the drum and get some wider publicity. It is a momentous achievement and BoD should be using the opportunity to the full. The Patent publication may not be 'new news', but the commercial potential in Scancell's sights should be explained widely. 5 minutes to go ! GLA

Maybe so C7 - certainly the Bonnie Addario front has gone very quiet. But remember with CRUK grabbing SCIB2 for trial and the Grand Challenge in progress - there's been massive achievements already on this front. I wonder if there can be any more rabbits in this Scancell 'hat' ? That would be good ! ATB

Looking into a WF link last week, I looked again at the shortlisted applicants - with both in 'weight of target' and 'strength of team' in mind, I made these comments :- ''Grand Challenge : All the applications are very worthy of course, but it strikes me that 9 applications are trying to get to answers whereas Scancell have already got theirs and are working towards implementation of what they know already. In the other headers we see 'Uncovering', 'Unravelling', want to find', 'want to analyse', 'want to create' all of which is good but there is a contrast when you get to Scancell, where 'ERADICATING' is the word ! I guess we all think that Scancell have a very strong application - roll on November then.'' To put it another way - other applicants are searching at earlier stages and Scancell have found a way, (their science). It feels like Scancell is about action (eradication) whilst the others are maybe finding a way to do 'it'. Tks again - your post made me think. Off to England now. ATB and GLA

Good post indeed : ''when thinking back over the last few years is that not only has the horizon broadened for Scancell as their platforms have started to produce more and more potential products, but nothing has been abandoned or seen to fail.'' How so ! Sometimes when we get impatient it's good to remember - the science and the framework around it, has been achieved with a team of just 15 now 22 (?). Prof. Lindy has an amazing grip on all this science and must have a very cool head to stay calmly in charge of it all as she does. It's not just the 'eureka' moment but a massive amount of precision writing in the scientific papers, patent applications, trial preps and so on. Whilst she has some others around her in those highest echelons of science - It's an impressive workload and range of achievements. If we'd had say SCIB1 on it's own and no further potential - Scancell might have been closer now to that commercial deal we lust after ! The workload is phenomenal. But I guess for Prof. Lindy - it's a life mission and she delights in it. But I do feel for her and RG too, over how hard they've had to work to assemble this potential. Truly we have a 'tiger by the tail'. ATB

I'm surprised that we have heard no tweets or other comment yet about Bio-Convention in Boston. It's ''all too quiet''. Maybe something is coming next week. Nice weekend all.

Nice surprise to wake up to that little rise ! Excellent. It'd be nice if this and further rises can be sustained - SP remains crazy low atm. Maybe today there'll be some snippets on Twitter and we might find out more about CH and the Bio Convention. But for now - wait on ! ATB
