Re. your quote, of course, he is talking in June, so 'later, in July' is arguably, from the 1st-31st? But I'd guess 3rd or 4th week. As you say, it doesn't really matter.

However, Scancell do appear to be making good on a new commitment to meet timetables in the future. The long quoted, 'mid-year' target, looks like being hit this time!

Hi Cleaner. In fairness, I did say 'rubbish in, rubbish out' was just an old crack and I accept you didn't input rubbish. However, I still doubt that AI can be inside the head of the CSO or CEO or have access to the details of the licensing deals with Genmab or know the route to any deals as any discussions going on with any Pharma will of course be proceeding in total privacy. IMO any AI conclusions wouldn't be significant, except by chance.

Yes the paper's authors include Scancell employees and other respected groups but that too doesn't ensure that the conclusions drawn by AI will be correct or significant.

Cleaner - I hope I posted politely about my objections to your AI generated posting, when I posted before. My own feelings on this subject are quite clear, but, until LSE introduce some sort of embargo on AI material, you of course have the right to post as you wish.

My caution to you about this adventure of yours, was well illustrated in my use of the internet today. When I searched a simple matter such as the opening time of a local recycling centre in Wiltshire today, an AI summary told me, with the usual authority (LOL), that the centre was opened at 10.00 am for it's normal 5 days a week.

Doubting this somewhat, I also checked the Council website, which confirmed, as I had thought, that the recycle center opened at 9.00 am ! ( As it has done for years). One might conclude that if AI can get such a simple matter wrong, what the hell of a nonsense is it going to produce on the edges of science, such as Scancell's?

So I beg you to desist. I am also sent my thoughts to LSE on the subject.

IMO the BB is for Member thoughts, discussions and hopes combined with all relevant facts and comment from elsewhere.

Thanks for floating that Cleaner. Very interesting. As the voting is for 'triallists' rather than scientific advances I'd guess that Christian Ottensmeier might be in pole position. Who knows? An RNS would be welcome but I doubt we'll see one on this.

Thanks Billy and these are of course, encouraging comments. As you imply, Scancell could reasonably have some room for optimism about getting some mileage from this news from Peter Kyle. After all, we are already a UK beneficiary of the CVLP and we know that the veritable Starmer knows of us.

Let's hope for the best BUT when I listened to the earlier part of this speech, I'm sure PK talked admiringly, glowingly of the massive investment recently made by BioNTech in the UK. Judging by the formbook, aren't the UK Govt. more likely to bung large amounts of our cash in the wrong direction and miss real opportunities to support UK science. Sorry to be cynical but haven't Moderna already benefitted in earlier moves? Anyway fingers crossed !!

It defies me quite where the Govt are going to find £20 billion this year during current Budget restraints and needing to spend more on defence, NHS, prisons, police, infrastructure etc. ad nauseam. It's beginning to look a bit 'Truss like' but we'll know more on Wednesday? Nevertheless, fingers crossed.

We're only just in the early part of June and the mid-year mark is still a long wait. But there's always the hope of something else poppng up. It's been a momentous wait and for those locked in like myself, an agonising one. But this is surely the year, (again), but this year, there really is so much bubbling away that something commercial will transpire, maybe sooner, rather than later. AIMO
