Asian market closes gold on lower price. London market closes gold gap higher. SP500, DOW (and Nasdaq premarket) have support lines broken again. We shall see if mispricing USA equity assets continues amongst global selling elsewhere.

What Trump and everyone else is possibly observing is that disruption has unintended consequences in the actions that others will then go and do.

Expecting it may pull back from 1645p area to close European gap to 1606p especially if gold retreats.

Looks like the plunge protection teams are out again at least for DOW. The tricky thing with gold is they will sell it to build up cash if the equity market corrects.

As for Endeavour I am beginning to see how they trade around with this stock to let London have a rally occasionally when TX is open and they decide to fill the gap on TX side. Unfortunately it is not a 100% reliable as they can sneak chart gap coverages after the London close and a trade suddenly becomes an investment.

More or less closed the gap as differences in currency can influence a penny or two. Gold uplift on a Friday makes a change. SP 500 regains the support line after falling through it. The equity markets in general look a little shaky. Fortunately the ides of March is on a Saturday next week.

TX close currently equals 1664p. How this has been dumped makes no sense to me at least at the present time.

All it takes is for EU to secure its supply to support European defence industries and this would be 70p plus. Once they get 800B together it makes sense to spend 200M on a highly critical supply chain source. The cost of less than 200 missiles that might get used up quickly.

Company was clear in presentation. The earnings rolling in big time and capex is reducing $200M this year. Should be over 1800p at $2700 gold price at least.

Interesting they appear to have written off the Mali exploration asset hence earnings per share lower than expected.

Hit a peak of 1727 on TX but has now pulled back.

Now 1693p and we are 26p behind.

If you wanted to get someone going on RBW at this moment in time just ask if they got out between 12p and 12.25p as that might have been higher than the private takeover price if the project turns out to be successful. I dare say it will get a strong response on this board as well. I am not saying that will happen of course although it happened on Shanta gold in December 2023 before gold really took off.

1. The TX market is left high and dry with a huge gap in their charts.

2. Gold rains on the parade on the delivery of a good company RNS.

3. Blackrock can get it wrong when they buy and sell (just like many PIs).

4. The market can swing against us when we least expect it to.

Whatever happens a divi gets baked into the pie next week and our only concern is being locked into a value trap. Quite often the divi is to pay for patience having to wait for when things turn back into our favour. All the best Tony

Looks as if it has been sold on the news with gold dropping $10 an ounce.

How it behaves with divi chasers and divi dodgers over the next week is something we might see as we approach the 13th.

I suspect the Canadian market has got it right on the SP but we shall soon see. The trouble with analyst estimates is some do not consider hedging arrangements and some do a proper job and do so. Still not that far off expectations overall. Looks reasonable good for 2025 and in my opinion this should be trading around 1870p on Q1 results.

The only reserves to increase was at Ity and was for a significant 1.2M ounces and recovered 2024 depletion over all 5 mines. Of course 4M ounces was discovered from exploration assets. Company has 15 years of output on reserve ounces.
