you cant decide just because of the inflated price, there are very few alternatives and its far from just transport

your statement would be fine if it was something different to oil, but oil at the moment (and for a very long time) CANNOT be replaced so it will stay high, as anton said, due to the ESG movement, under investment, etc

Russia not helping but oil would still be at $100 if russian invasion didnt happen.

OIl and commods are in a super cycle, and due to increasing demand / fixed supply it is THE place to be

Unless we all go back to caves (and there would need to be a LOT of caves) and start knitting (requires LOT of sheep) then it aint going to change anytime soon

just bear in mind, as with all commods share, and i'm in tlw, eco (small amount) and AOI (large amount), there is only 1 thing you need to worry about.

If the underlying commodity is strong, everything is just pointless, as simple as that, everything will take care of itself

agree withb the last 2 posters, the kenya deal will be known or its a crazy time to merge and that will sway voters unless dreadful give away deal which will not be

no AOI movement either, but cant be too far away, as operator technically tullow will announce first i guess

i'm pretty sure that the merger parties would already know the kenya terms and date, and i'm very sure all kenya partners will farm down, otherwise tullow could have waited to complete kenya and then merge, as there was no real hurry to merge from what i can see

if tullow are delaying the kenya process with this merger it wont go down well....

ok, like the deal, i'm in, bought for quicker turn around and need some more for the up coming kenya deal (am a long time AOI holder)

far better deal for tullow but but but......depends on the kenya situation, if they farm down and release cash then.....pretty good for capricorn

eps of 25p for 6 months makes full year annualised pe of 3, if things stay the same

good move by SLP, all that cash in the bank and we need to get well over £1, and a nice rpurchase plan over the slow summer months

wasnt necessarily referring to the last conference call, its the calls over last 2 years plus the other investor relations stuff, and you are completely wrong if you think tullow have better prospects than AOI, but thats your choice.

and you have ridiculously high debt, AOI dont but not interested in explaining the AOI case

not sure where this rosy view that AOI communicate more than tullow on kenya, and as operator tullow will be first to announce, as always.

what you do get from AOI though are little hints about how kenya is going and more of a fireside chat mentality about all prospects, and the CEO's views on everything.

tullow seem very corporate and minimal with regards their stuff

if your not happy then maybe switch to AOI, they should reach $10 + in 3-4 years time, if Venus and other amazing prospects come in.

Initially as an AOI holder i was very pleased to have tullow as partner because their success rate was above industry average, now however, they seem a no so great partner, and i think ECO holders would agree too

you cant just compare oilers, most dont have tullows debt
