in the good old days, when institutions were legit and you could put some sort of trust in them, forecasts for rhodium like that might be believed, however today with just about all of them talking absolute crap, I just completely ignore them.

too many "authorities" just talking stuff down and up for their own benefit, best to go with gut feel, resources only going 1 way for the foreseeable, unless some miracle technical breakthrough (wont happen)

bit underwhelming start......aoi up over 4%, might also be one of their holdings doing very well but part of the rise will be kenya, certainly not the oil price, flat ish

would be surprised (and delighted) if it was 60% with free carry on pipeline, the only way that could happen was if they are including the unproven part of kenya, thought to be twice current proven

so if aoi have 25% and i think from memory 164 mb, thats 650 mb across partners, and if you do the very tired and possibly out of date method of $5 in ground for oil, that makes current proven value 3.2 bilion

on the plus side, oil is much higher so $5 is prob out of date, and the unproven could double with minimal exploration to $6.5 billion gross value

but on the negative side, waxy oil, and of course kenya

so 60% and free carry would be very very good deal but cant see them getting anymore than $2 billion under those terms

hope its higher but we would all take that as of now.

current shorts 2.84%, of those that need to notify, so approx 40 million shares short ?

deal will most likely now be 2 weeks away, cant really get signed before the elections, well i guess in theory it could, depends on the polls for govt getting re-elected but either way prob best to wait.

cant see it being monday for any reason (kenya just doesnt move that fast) but would be VERY surprised if this is less than 55p monday

more excited as an aoi holder obviously but great for all involved.

are you saying that tlw with 50% ----> 15% will net $750 + free carry, therefore AOI dropping from 25 ---> 15% is around $214 million ?

personally the aoi family would be extremely happy with that as well as free carry

why would all 3 partners be in same place at same time ? prob 2 weeks or so away but closer

lovely inverted head a shoulders pattern forming too, we know where it goes after that, usually

slight dip in rhodium recently but palladium and plat coming up on the rails, but with recent dollar weakness (if the boe, boj, swiss bank, swedish banks pull their fingers out) might get even better

what did you think of AOI stoodio ?

slp will almost certainly be able to do some more share buybacks and keep that special dividend as well

very similar to AOI, big exception AOI have enormous exploration targets in the multi billion barrels level

i love cash rich, debt free companies that just do their thing and deliver

very nice results from a great company.

dollar keeps falling, was too flippin high anyway, i know people flock to the dollar in terms of crisis but as a few commods commentators have stated, should be a rotation out of the dollar and into gold because the dollar is still paying a -6% real interest rate, guaranteed lose

however gold does the same thing, guaranteed lose, though historically it is no better than the dollar / bitcoin, its just the way that it is.

so 2nd half should see better gold prices and that always feeds pgms (though would rather have rhodium than gold, better uses and still as good a store of value)

palladium up almost 6% too, not to be forgotten

weak US services PMI, down goes the dollar, come on rhodium

and no, wasnt suggesting random walk at all.

and people put up umbrellas (as stoodio will atest) for rain, for sun, to give them a good airing, to stay a bit hidden, various reasons, so for you to infer its raining is as i said, you already had your answer.

i prefer to feel constant water on my head to infer its raining, assuming someone not spitting on me or walking under a dripping gutter etc.
