I have also added, tharisa are around the same price as SLP (of course diff mkt caps, but not that different) but have always underperformed for me and prob everyone else, while the company still makes strides

that being said, they keep doing great things and one day you will look up and they will be £3 when karo gets near production.

they will be generating so much cash at the karo stage that they should (and hope they do) fix that by doing a buyback.

so with companies generating this much cash they can stop the low share price very easily quite soon

also as i said before, as they mine and produce so well, keep doing the efficiency and innovation stuff but no more big projects for foreseeable.

just consolidate, buyback, add a much higher dividend and the price will be much much higher

Completely agree RomanWolf, how some on here can just take CEO statements so casually is beyond me. this is a not a flippant remark over a coffee, its a MARKET released statement.

and its all very well saying oh well, we know it will get done, well, some dont actually ever get done !

and if he knows it will take longer have a longer long stop date, is it that difficult ?

Referring to the last 2 posts, if its similar to our neighbours deal and people on this board know it takes 4 months then why doesnt KOD know this ?

being let down isnt great, or is the master plan of BA to have tight deadlines to get the govt moving ? if so thats a little risky (dont believe this thory just airing it out)

and once dates slip and deadlines are not met at this stage, the subsequent ones might be in doubt ?

i'm very sure that everything will go ahead at some point and we will be producing, but some on here think the process isnt important, but i think it is, targets need to be realistic and met for credibility.

lets hope they are, this is like watching paint dry

my point on sunday was that "waiting for approvals" is a very generic term.

your post doesnt make sense, or doesnt make sense in terms of BA's latest target, something has to give.

cant afford to lose a good reputation on AIM, as most do, it would be idiotic to miss the next deadline.

at least can state its done and money comes on this date etc

if there is nothing between now and next RNS (i mean nothing in any part of the business) and the only RNS is another extension, this will prob be in mid 60s.

Would be a huge mistake to miss this deadline, even though tons of aim companies do and particularly when dealing with africa. we DO NOT want to be one of the many companies "waiting for approvals".

not interested in stretch targets, they gain little and cost a lot. and its not as if the gold is firing up either so this is all we have for now

will be pure naivety when dealing with africa if its not hit. which ould then bring into question all the other timeframes

so cannot really be missed, lets hope its not, if its going to be this week i will go for wednesday

think all time high gold price was $2081, so few dollars off yet (might be the future price mind you)

a normal gold share is one that is remotely correlated to the gold price and in production (like centamin)

shanta seems to add about 1p for every $1000 on the gold price.

something just definately not right with this share, unless a bid comes in and we are put out of our misery, i cant really see what it is

whatever the reason, and not getting into that, shanta just does not behave like a normal gold dhare.

who would have thoughtb that at 2040 gold spot we would be at 11.70 ?? prob no one

so whatever the reason, this is being held back but ridiculous selling.

and the impact on us ? any decent rise will be sold into by people getting out and moving to gold shares that actually MOVE.

best thing eric can do with this extra free cash flow is start a buyback

historically they always have so expect them to do so

either way, it needs to be soon, and definately not last minute, bernard must surely know how long these things take, and its relatively simple admin based step.

anything outside of that, and if there is another delay, kodal wont be forgiven by many, and the wait for such a routine task is a bit agonising.

surely, all 3 parties involved want to get down to business and therefore should be fast tracked asap

so for me it should really be next week or there will be some nerves for sure.

once done though, all will be forgotten, and this is the way of commods investing, always waiting for news/drill results/approvals.
