The link doesnt seem to work. I think most of us would agree that I3E is worth quite a bit more than current SP. Using the below as a metric - it would be nice to know how much of the 11,800 boepd is oil otherwise it would be hard to extrapolate. If it was all oil (which it is not), it would indicate I3E as being overvalued.

The SP before the RNS was 0.4p - 0.5p. It now sits at 1.4p which most would consider a pretty healthy rise. The fact it is not sitting closer to the 4p or higher you would think is due to the drilling results meeting expectation i.e. flow test etc.

I have to take issue with what you have said. Couple of comments:

1) " Imagine if you had been invested in 88E this year and saw a 300% rise in a month with plenty to come?" - I would say good luck and well done.

2) "Plenty to come" - your opinion and lets hope you are right.

3) I havent seen anyone over stepping the mark - you dont make the rules - just because you may not agree with the posts, does not mean anyone is overstepping the mark.

4) Don't agree 100% with Jezzo's comments - freedom of speech and I encourage you to post on any board you want. Your comments will stand on their own two feet - if it rubbish, its rubbish and will be recognized as such by intelligent posters. If the comments are intelligent - well then great - we learn something.

Who are you - the board police. Couple of comments / questions

1) theres no rule that you have to be invested to post. Here's a novel idea for you - what about people coming onto the BB to get a feel / learn something, ask a couple of questions about a potential stock they are looking to buy into.

2) There's no rule that says you have to post something positive -in infact IMO its quite informative to hear contrarian views particularly if they are backed up. Also, why do posters such as yourself get so defensive / aggressive with posters that dont wear the same rose tinted glasses as you ?

3) It is surprising to me that people such as yourself are happy to have people post stuff such as "expecting a significant
uptrend in the coming days" without any back up and with the apparent intent of influence gullible SH's perhaps such as yourself for their own personal gain and providing zero value to fellow posters. Yet other posters who might be posting something of value to genuine SH but perhaps with a Contrarian viewpoint are met with hostility.

So you will forgive me if I tell you - unless you own this BB and set the rules, I think I will decline your suggestion and ask that you kindly toddle off.

I have posted and you need to repost yours. As an academic exercise - it might be worth trying to understand their acreage / valuation as a comparison to I3E's undeveloped acreage.

Is 88e really a con job - they have 600k acres that does have oil. The question is how much and how much value do you attribute to current SH's.

You are not really comparing apples with apples - which I'm not surprised about - you dont seem to look at any fundamentals. You mention I3E - you really need to compare from about September last year when they basically changed from a North Sea Exploration Company to a Canadian Producer with North Sea Assets. There was a massive equity raise at 5p a share and since then I3E has doubled. Still the metrics suggest that I3E trade at less than 50% of Canadian Peers. In addition it still has the North Sea Assets that they are trying to farm out. I3E is underpinned by fundamentals which should drive the SP significantly higher. 88E is currently been driven by speculation - IMO current shareholders are vastly underestimating the additional funding and dilution required to move the project forward which will significantly impact SH returns.

I think the point was that you are unable to articulate the fundamental valuation here- you are merely "flipping a coin". What is this fundamental valuation that the "OTC happening" have not taken account of - where are these trading and oil brains???

No - genuine question. Genuinely interested to know if there is any analysis or is this just all speculation / gambling. Regardless of your expertise level - i'm sure many here are interested in making a return and to figure out when to hold or fold.

Serious question - how are valuing 88e and how do you know when to jump in / out.

I've been watching from the sidelines - dont have any shares here but I do with another Junior oil. With that I can check against metrics for reserves, FCF multiples, FCF to enterprise value, FCF per flowing barrel etc.

Here, there is no reserves or CF to measure against - how do you know if you are over / undervalued ?

Hypothetical - say the "Muppet Crowd" did pile in and I3e shot up to 40p within a week. Would you cash out and if so what price would you jump back in again ?

Be nice to have just half the following they have. Hard to know what's driving it - if its a dead cat bounce - its a pretty bouncy dead cat ! Hopefully some more good news shortly to get I3e a bit of love and attention.

Couldn't have put it any better than JAdam. I'm interested to know why you think that Hurricane is worth looking at. These are just a few of my thoughts:

1) News has been almost universally bad for 12-18 months - specifically massive down grade to reserves and wells not performing to expectations. Even management seem downbeat.
2) Cannot agree with stakeholders further development plans / funding - massive red flag and RNS even talks about running the P6 well down.
3) Large Debt - +/- UKP200m - this is massive particularly if there's a lack of confidence in asset performance.
4) Field are primarily fractured rock type - notoriously difficult to develop and operate and require specialist skillsets / technology. If the founder and current team are struggling - what does I3E bring to the party ?

With the current debt and field performance - a huge risk. RNS also talks about possibility of further SH dilution !!!

I3E has better assets with the same if not better potential within their existing portfolio. There is potential to added several hundred million barrels of reserves from existing acreage (300mmbbl High Case from the North Sea and there's talk of another 200mmbbl from Canadian Acreage) as well as an additional 20,000 bopd plus production. These are lofty goals but the potential appears to be there. Hopefully Management will outline some of these plans in the April update.
