Well jake that is where we differ. I suppose. Remember back a couple of times when the SP has slipped severely due to lack of information and JC belatedly had to make a some statement to support it. We all know that Smart, especially India, has dragged out a long time, changing electronics or changing GoI requirements the last being SLA.
For a small company that is a hardship which cannot be by-passed.
These coming months are the end of a long road and CC has come out smiling.
As all three of you musketeers are still in the pot the future must be bright for CC,

Sorry jake, no what I meant say was Genus puts in a tender, they must have collated all the pricing from the subs to put forward their total bid. So then they go back to negotiate these prices with subs, suppose they cannot agree, they could loose the contract all together. So logic is they have already agreed prices.
CC is a small company and apart from a couple of long term big investors/Funds the remainder are small like us.
JC puts forward hopefuls on occasions but it is the likes of you, Colour (he's back) and ITT that do the downers. If he does not comment you ask why and when he does comment you ask why. So it is you that causes the unrest.
I think eating humble pie occured around 14p time for Colour but lets not dwell on that.
Like you I have done OK by thinking it out. I don't think Colour did and ITT was cashing in at 7p so he must be internally jumping for joy.

Do stop whining, have some faith, CC has been up and down over the years and many times due to governments etc.
Big companies weather this so they do not get complaints, you should have been with the likes of Itron but you would not have made much profit. You are on AIM for risk, put up with it, many go bust.
ITT you could have mentioned when CC went from 2p to 14p (that being the point you just started from).
Is that 700% rise, so someone was happy. Figures tell all sorts of stories.
jake, you know about contracts or may be JC will enlighten us at some point, Q when a tender is put together all the subs presumably put their figures in so that lead can place the bid, so why after that does the sub have to negotiate on the prices submitted. Supposing they cannot agree then what was the point in pricing the bid originally. Who could fill the gap SLA wise, supposing not acceptable to Utility.
Probably a simple answer.

LTI, I am sure that with SMETS1 when utilities were meeting install obstacles, like multi-storeys, they moved on.
Then I think SMETS2 had to be installed in order of application, then I think that was relaxed for speed and JC said we were at the back of queue for installations. A lot of I think's there.
If that is the case and considering the energy price crisis now, I reckon some of these customers will start to complain about the off-peak tariff.

Hello LTI, It will be interesting to see if smart gets accelerated in UK.
It was mentioned a couple of months back that Smart Meters will be able to access off-peak electricity.
With the current energy crisis I expect if offered many will want it (smart meters only).
Looks like OCTOPUS is running a scheme called 'Saving session'.

Thanks for that LTI, we are just awaiting tender results.
With the $400m to $600m quoted, it was good to see the revenue ration of $20m/1m units still.
Also pleased in presentation with JC's reference to in meter gateways, so that is still current, would definitely be an improvement on having to place them in other locations.

Hello LTI, is that what they call a distration, LOL, I mentioned UK in my Wed 19:51.
It s a pitty we came in tail end via Connode.
They may not have needed DCC if CC RF had been able to switch Utilities live instantaneously, then OFCOM could have just set up a mediator team for disputes.

Well ITT I suggest you do not put a downers on situation until 2nd Jan and put a legitimate question to JC ' have we received the money'. At present you are worrying onlookers when you should be talking YOUR shares up with all the possibilties that lay ahead.
Surely you have been with CC long enough to not worry now, its all about to happen.

I know you keep a close eye on figures ITT but this is AIM not FTSE100. It is a risk takers casino, things happen when they happen. CC has had some pretty hairraising moments in the past, to me this is the turning point, said that before but everything is pointing in JC's favour right now.
I do not think 31 Dec is going to be any cut off date, it just rolls on, 31 Mar may be a different matter.
We are talking 1m units now so I would think we will go up to 5m units with the bigger contracts.
As returns come in for Utilities they will place bigger orders and it could be the GoI deadlines are met.

Thanks for that ITT. We know CC requires more contract wins and that it is achieving 25% so no need to highlight.
I know you like your figures but lighten up a bit.
CC has never been in this position before, it is probably leading the pack in Smart Comms in India, we cannot make contracts speed up but they are nearly there.
CC is becoming a reliable asset to India and that is what GoI is looking for. Repetition, CC are now on this Indian Government Committee, hope JC will inform us of make up and purpose in more depth.

jake/LTI, I can see both of your positions. you do need to bid low for work intially. However I think that time finished when Genus incorporated CC into its meters and willingly repeated the orders. Genus being one of the three main players in India and gave CC Credit Cover, that tells me that they are totally satisifed with CC's supply chain and loyalty.
JC slipped the Committee membership in, you have to concentrate. To me that means CC is a sought after Smart Comms supplier, may be nearly the only one and as we know the Comms is what makes Smart.. India has given the green light to Smart Meters and I think we will feature multiple times in many bids.
As long as JC does not go too high or too low (hard one) I think CC will get taken up many times, perhaps with them on the same contract supplying different Manufacturers.
I liked the reference JC made to UK, I said that all along and could have been done at a fraction of the price.
Also his coverage around 4G 5G NB, security of CC, lack of security with ordinary Cellular.

Came over well in my opinion.
Answered my questions, noted CC that CC is on some Government Committee, any background LTI.
Still the possibility of an SP rise before 31/12, as the Funds get a chance to mull it over.

Do not get too carried away ITT. Companies often have to take a chance when setting up shop. I suggest that India is now in that position and it could be all systems go. The new monthly payment system (OPEX) will provide a seen and protected income. Probably only covers certain elements of the CC contracts but is visual. I suppose that will come in a few months time with new contracts. Although I was hesitant at first this is a valuable tool for new investors to see where CC stands monthly as opposed to just costs. Milestones are alright but can be held up on occasions.

Thanks for that LTI I always have a relook if I get anywhere near negative in comments.
We have moved from an 800k unit order book to 2.6m units but SP has not really moved.
£1m has been laid out in stock so that is built into future profits.
My thoughts about going into profit is the 37m units tenders put on hold by GoI and now underway, my view being that most of the processing had been done when requirement was imposed but may be that was not the case.
We are now talking about big tender numbers so we could get an entirely different set of figures come 31st March.

To be frank I was expecting higher income. The new system of payments will guarantee monthly income but should be producing higher returns. Over last couple of years costs have been tapered back to £375p.m. but have they got away again somewhere. Extra stock was covered by shares call and that other £500k came along.
It is a hard market and JC has done well to get CC in with these volumes but are we charging enough and are the extra staff commitments warranted.
To my mind when we bandy figures of £1bn around expectations for should be high for SP.

No way is CC resembling a Utility, it needs another 20 years before it qualifies for that.
As with the rest of us you will have to wait and see what 14th brings.
To my mind the video's go down well, inuendos can be slipped in that tell a lot.
Possibly get an RNS before then even if only building out information on existing contracts.
Repeating myself, I am surprised that with known 2.6 m units now in total that CC SP has not gone way beyond the 29p peak.
May be as a result of his Conservatism JC has let Hardman walk us downhill. I am sure JC must be working on reversing that mindset. DYOR

Thanks LTI, yes difficult decisions. Don't know when the US gas arrives.
Oil seems to have come down a long way on market. If gas eases off will inflation drop, I would not think so as I feel the supermarkets will pocket the gains. Centrica shares have risen over last 6 months so they are not suffering.
It will be interesting with CC over the next 3 days, a few people may sell for Christmas tomorrow but I think CC could be in short supply following any RNS and stay in short supply over new year. Out of 250m shares most are already taken up.

The problem there jake is that they have 1.4bn people and not many options.
They use a fiar amount of coal but that is still a lot of Power Stations.
We were struggling until USA said they would double amount of gas to us, as with wars somebody making money.
Also Russia cut our supply, it may have been a bit different the other way round.
