Hello Colour, popped in for 5 minutes. Bearing in mind Genus have taken CC into inside their smart meters and extended credit for the purpose, point me to the page where they said they have their own meter and do not need CC. Must admit I have only scanned but surprised.

Hello jake.. That is a bit of an ironic question, we all did, this is AIM, entrepreneurs.
Not my usual area at all.
Had some pretty rough times has CC but very good product and about to click.
Always said it is not the product (almost) but the clients, they now appear to have made up their minds.

It is just a pity that everything drags but I think it will get there very shortly.

I am not going down this looking backward road anymore. I Re-read your 22/1. for continuity.
As Omni (update) is now part of RF and I believe features in Indore it depends how this takes off. You obviously doubt that it will. Plans ger re-jigged constantly, I don't think leasing was envisaged. This time I think contracts are about to arrive.
Fortunes in India are not made overnight but CC's possible success is the nearest they have been yet, fingers crossed.

Hello Vas.. I think yes, as in those 3+ years they have seesawed but have now seen results with Indore that is fast, not instantaneous, but not far off. Money talks, in this case saving it, so ears have pricked up. That is probably the first occasion in Indian energy that has happened. Should soon know.
I followed up on your Electrical India Sat 22:44 and asked about Indore and what they thought of it being RF and having fitted 120,000 Smart (largest in India). Should hear soon.

Hello Vas.. Very interesting. I think EESL is trying everything because it wants results and quickly to satisfy PM Modi.
The article at first appears neutral, then appears to promote EDF, honest or may be for other reasons.
I feel the way to look at current situation is EESL is looking for success stories in its own country not France.
EDF is trying to get in on the act now it senses India is underway. It's not involved in meter manufacturer and CC is involved with the 3 majors, with it's software. Contracts are offered out and then rescinded, nobody exempt.
My eye is on the results of INDORE, EESL was involved in that from beginning I think. It would now be interesting to see what CC involvement is, supply only, lead, training, solutions. Thailand is an add-on with EESL leading, interesting.
We may get a flurry of RNS's in coming weeks, lastly EDF is big so charges big money I presume.

Colour I did not realise you had so many letters after your name, impressive.
I am not going over all old stuff so that you do not have answer about your past constant talking up of EESL with no CC.
Just for once do not distract; investors and may be investors want to know the situation. What do you think of the current involvement of CC with EESL, is it going anywhere, is it going to be big. You are among friends so lets have your honest opinion.

No Colour, you are going off at a tangent now, as you do when you want to distract people from the obvious that times have changed and CC stands a very good chance under the auspices of EESL who want quickly to replace the last 2 years of stagnation which you said was going ahead swimmingly. EESL 5m meters here, 5m meters there, they don't need CC, LOL.

Thanks for that Vas, I said budget was due but didn't think you could pull it up that quickly. As somebody else said on this BB losses have if fact gone up for Discoms. Which says to me that steps taken towards Smart meters/energy did not work but it has been said by somebody here that smart meters were not needed and they just wanted basic electrics. Well that was totally wrong I think Colour.
The result of these increased losses appears to be a rethink. INDORE has produced the answer for Discoms and EESL seems to have recognised that. RF in INDORE appears to be doing nicely and others want to get involved.
It appears that the Government wants to retro fit existing meters, that would speed things up. If so it seems they have abandoned their requirement that everything must be inside the box.
Vas hopefully a few bob has come CC's way in last couple of months to pay the bills.

Would not bother to answer that Tilly, the last few years have been stop/start, mainly stop.
However Nov 19 meeting started a new era. EESL, who are the energy organisers for India Government and Colour idolises, are now talking to CC. We don't know the final outcome but I feel happy.
Is the past many software companies ran in the red until their breakthrough, some went to the wall but that's shares.
Newbies DYOR but take all things into consideration.

It will be interesting to see what comes out of the Indian Budget tomorrow.

Colour what's a few weeks among friends, it is my money I have my eye on.
I feel a lot happier than this time a year ago, I see some possible signings and take ups.

You may be right jake but you don't start a company expecting it to struggle. Possibly the BOD should have reviewed itself much earlier.
Putting that aside even you will be pleased if this latest opportunity turns out to be lucrative.
Best to wait and see for a few weeks.

Hello mcgoof.. I remember you way back. I think even JC would have stayed in his old company if he had know how long and bumpy this road has going to be. Every time we were going to get underway a change of requirement or policy occurred.
If EESL had succeeded in its basic roll out CC would have still been in the same position with small projects and UK to survive.
However the procurement and bulk orderings by EESL did not result in getting smart off the ground. Having seen the good results of Mysore I think EESL decided on a U turn.
Hopefully it will benefit all concerned including CC.
All DYOR however look beyond this squabbling but remember this is AIM but some do strick very lucky.

Hello BST, ups and downs occurred even way before my time.. I seem to remember you were one of the big big investors and proclaimer of Cyan.
Is that correct. Everybody on here knows that this AIM company was up against the big boys, taking one step forward and two steps back. Extra requirements were made by Indian Government, which CC eventually met with Connode. Reverse auctions did not help much and manufacturers dropped out. I think that worried EESL, then Mysore was celebrated so EESL got involved with INDORE and that is even more successful. Colour would not dispute that unless he is knocking EESL.
CC has talked success in the past but never been in this position where the likes of EESL are keenly interested in them.
Everybody must make up their own minds but not let old sods flavour the past.

No BST, totally wrong, item was published in 1/20 but those facts have been collated over a long period.
Have a look, I may have missed it but I do not see a reference to INDORE.
Surely it would be up to date enough to praise all the savings being made there and all the interest being shown.
Times move quickly when there are savings to be made.

LTI, you beat me to it. ITT don't hang on BST's words. So all the roll outs, for one reason or another, have been failures, don't tell Colour. Desperation is now setting in and losses rising. So CC is invited to the big table, no coincidence surely for such a small company. As I understand it EESL was involved with INDORE from the outset, Colour could correct me on that if I am wrong.
So all these Utilities are frantic to reduce losses, the management at INDORE are praising their success at cutting losses with RF.
So all their CEO's are saying, they are saving money rapidly how can we get involved.
BST you sometimes cut your own throat by pulling up these links, don't forget all these progress announcements have happened after Nov19. and EESL is now involved out of the country. Interesting.
